8. Serge Aurier – Important in the way that if you only have one friend, they are your most important friend. The advanced right-back position is vital to Mourinho’s offence, and Aurier is the only one who can play there.

7. Moussa Sissoko – Never thought we would miss the Frenchman as much as we have. He has his flaws but Sissoko’s energy, determination and ball-carrying ability means he offers more than most in our midfield.
6. Hugo Lloris – A curious case of match-winner come point-dropper. Lloris is still as good a shot-stopper as there is in the Premier League but makes too many mistakes these days. Important, but for how much longer?
5. Giovani Lo Celso – The Argentine may not be stacking up the numbers of a top creative midfielder yet but you only need to see the difference in the team when he was playing versus when he wasn’t after Christmas. By the time lockdown came around, everything was going through Lo Celso.

4. Dele Alli – A goalscorer, a creator, a match-winner, an entertainer – what else would you want from your No.10? Hasn’t been on top form consistency these last 18 months but he’s definitely still one of the players Jose should build around.
3. Toby Alderweireld – I shudder to think where our defence would be without the Belgian, even amidst probably his worst season at the club. Six years in and I can count the mistakes he has made on one hand. Superb.
2. Son Heung-min – A clear second, Sonny has become our go-to man even on some occasions when Kane is fit, scoring more goals year upon year. A top-class dribbler and finisher, he has become a feared opponent even for Europe’s best defenders.

1.Harry Kane – The numbers speak for themselves – 181 goals in 278 games – a return which would make him the most important player at 99% of teams in world football. We simply aren’t the same without him which makes those transfer links even more concerning.

Nothing shows how much we have regressed than Sissoko being sorely missed. The whole team seems to have dropped to his level.
This is on Levy’s head, the man who wouldn’t give Poch what he and everyone else knew was required to kick on,yet is now asking him to take a hit on his salary.
This of course while the players argue the toss over doing so to help Levy out.Let’s be clear about this,it isn’t about Spurs football club losing money whilst the sport is suspended,it’s about Lewis and Levy looking to preserve their obscene wages and bonuses.
Incidentally I think Lo Celso has proved in a short time to be more important than Dele for the simple reason he can influence games where Alli seems incapable now.
Also I think Toby is sadly no longer the force he was a couple of seasons ago.He has slowed like Jan and errors are creeping into his game since signing the new contract. This could be because he is having to cover more for the incompetence that surrounds him these days.I will reserve proper judgement.
Aurier not even in my 25, if I want a right winger I will buy one. Walking back into position watching your team mates scrambling to cover for you, disgusting.
