Real Madrid hopes to extend Tottenham target while Conte hopes to reunite with Chelsea star

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur needs a creative midfielder, a role they have yet to fill since the departure of Christian Eriksen. Nonetheless, it seems as though manager Antonio Conte might pursue a player with those qualities to allow Harry Kane to focus on the goal scoring.

A recent report has Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio as a possible target to fill that role at Spurs. The 26-year-old has another year after this season left on his contract, but Los Blancos intend to hold onto the Spain international.

Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano relayed the remarks made by manager Carlo Ancelotti regarding the future of Asensio, sharing that the club is in contract extension talks.

Furthermore, a creator from the midfield isn’t the only area Spurs need an upgrade, as there is the backline and it seems as though the north London club want to secure an anchor to their defense via the free transfer market.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham are back in the race to sign Chelsea Antonio Rudiger, whose contract expires in June and has yet to extend or sign a pre-contract with any club.

Manager Antonio Conte did bring Rudiger to Stamford Bridge during his stint as Chelsea manager, so it comes as no surprise he would want to reunite with the 28-year-old.

The Sad thing is that some people believe that Levy will change. We have a better chance of knitting fog.

I see its Hopes and Dreams time again as Spurs’ season advances to its inevitable denouement.

Hoping for new players
Dreaming that Levy changes his evil ways.

He’s pretty low, and thankfully there is zero chance of him coming here.

He is a good player 10 x better than Dire but he is demanding wages of way above Harry’s level so its a no go.

Loathsome character. Besides it ain’t happening as he plays for the blue scum. If he did join us he’d be hearing monkey chants in his head when he played at our stadium again.

Not for me, Rudiger is a turd of a man who makes John Terry look like a saint. I despise him!
