This summer, Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to improve their attack further. Recently, manager Antonio Conte stated he wants Harry Kane to focus on his goal-scoring responsibilities, so the north London club will likely be in the market for a No. 10 or a forward with creative capabilities.
According to the Mirror (via Fichajes), Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio has caught the attention of Spurs, who could make a move for a player who continues to be somewhat underutilized by manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Asensio averages 53 minutes per game in La Liga competition and 27 minutes per game in UEFA Champions League fixtures. As a result, the 26-year-old could be looking for a more prominent role.
The Spanish international is under contract until 2023, but Tottenham isn’t the only club that has its eyes on the Asensio. The other Premier League clubs vying for the Real Madrid man are Arsenal and Newcastle United; meanwhile, AC Milan and Juventus are also connected to the attacker.
