Report: Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is keeping tabs on the sale of Chelsea

By Eddie Razo -

The sanctions levied by the UK government on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich for his ‘close ties’ with Vladimir Putin have put the future of the west London side under question. As a result, there will be plenty of eyes on what occurs in a sale, including Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.

According to the Daily Mail, the Spurs club chief is keeping a close eye on events at Chelsea amid concerns that the eventual price could affect the future sale of the north London club.

Levy is worried that a fast, cut-price sale could decrease the worth of Tottenham, a club that’s been on the market for years without anyone meeting the asking price of the majority owners ENIC International Ltd.

Two of the bidders for Chelsea have a past connection with Tottenham as Jonathan Goldstein and Todd Boehly have both failed in past attempts to buy Spurs. However, the two have united forces in the last fortnight as part of a consortium desiring to take over at Stamford Bridge.

Last week, various groups presented their bids to purchase The Blues. The next step will be for Raine Group, the American trader bank handling the sale, to narrow the proposals down to the two or three best offers early next week before giving their ruling.

The Government… they’re adept at failure regardless of colour.

Five billion is what Uncle Joe and Danny Boy will want for the THFC media and property empire. Chelsea will not go for a song, there are too many bidders. The expectation has to be that the west London club go for between 2 and 3 billion. The worst scenario is that our overlords will start to see that the destiny of the family wealth fund is to keep it in the family for generations.

Interesting to see what brand wants an association with the specialists in failure that are ENIC FC. Levy out.

It’s telling how many bids there are for Chelsea. Yet no mention of interest in Spurs over the years despite there being clear intent from various billionaires across the globe to get into the footy business. Likely Levy has already priced himself too high, coupled with no one wanting to deal with the odorous little runt. Feel free to replace the ‘r’ with a ‘c.’

I would take Dybala but my thought was he’s been rumoured forever but never coming just like Levy’s never selling.

It’s easy to sell a successful business. It’s easy to find a buyer too…

We can’t even get naming rights to one of the worlds best stadiums.

Levy is only a minority owner isn’t he (cant be arsed to check the details). The nasty old boy is the puppetmaster.

Chelsea – 20 trophies in the past 20 years, Spurs – 1 says it all really and I’m a lifelong Spurs fan

The price or sale of one business in a city, (like 2 houses on the same street), doesn’t in any way affect that of another, numerous factors determine the figure; timing, finances/accounts, company structure, potential for growth, land, location, assets, customer base, history, reason for sale, etc.
Daily Mail’s business/financial reporters/editors would know that, even if their sports reporters/editors don’t.

Dybala all day. He’s in his prime at 28 years old… If Bale was the same age then it would be a different story.

A place behind Chelsea? We should be so lucky!

Bale or Dybala?
Though both could be signed up straight away on pre contract agreements.

He’s only watching so he can validate the price he want to extract. You can here it now… ‘we were a place behind Chelsea in the league so we are only going to 10% than what was paid and then the stadium is built so add x amount plus other properties erm can I now have 4 billion. And no it will cost you two quid if you want a cup of tea’

F off ENIC & Levy…

“Levy is worried that a fast, cut-price sale could decrease the worth of Tottenham”

He should worry about how he is fucking up the club so bad, he will be lucky to get half of what he is asking. Plus the fact that so many Americans have shown interest in buying Chelsea, yet noone seems keen on us despite HAVING A NFL STADIUM just shows how low we are on a global scale

It’s getting late in the window for ENIC to pawn Spurs off as globalisation is fracturing amidst war and plague. I think Dybala is more likely to wear a Spurs kit than Levy is to sell the club for anywhere near his number.
