Harry Kane Allegedly Incompatible With Christiano Ronaldo

By Joe Fish -

With nothing better to talk about, Harry Kane’s future has been one of the Tottenham hot-topics during the Coronavirus-imposed football void.

For the first time, there is a genuine fear that the 27-year-old may look elsewhere to fulfill his ambitions, and Juventus are one of the destinations that have been touted with Italian outlet Tuttosport claiming that he is one of the options they are looking at to partner up with Cristiano Ronaldo.

But former Juventus forward Luca Toni thinks that his old club should be looking at another Premier League striker – Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.

“He is quick, technical, provides assists. Of these strikers, Manchester City’s Brazilian is less a central striker,” Toni told Tuttosport.

“But he would be more suitable to play with Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 is not a pure center-forward but is someone who scores more and has to score more goals. A true striker, like for example, Kane who is believed is the best under 30, is not certain to work wonders with Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I see Gabriel Jesus as being much better. He scores but also provides lots of assists, opens space for his team-mates, he presses and he is only 22.”

I don’t dispute Toni’s observations of Jesus who is a good player with an excellent goalscoring record, but I don’t think there is anything he can do that Kane can’t which would make him more suitable for Juventus.

Wait, what am I doing?! No, I’m mistaken; Jesus is way better, of course.

I don’t see Juve as serious contenders for Kane. Only last summer when we were dreaming of Pablo Dybala, we were hearing they were short of money, so they’ve got little chance of prising Kane from Daniel Levy’s clutches.
