“Free Ndombele” – These Spurs Fans Find Something To Complain About From Exciting Mourinho Team

By Joe Fish -

Jose Mourinho has made three changes to his Tottenham starting lineup for tonight’s London derby with West Ham United.

Dele Alli and Lucas Moura are restored to the team after missing the 1-1 draw with Manchester United, while Giovani Lo Celso is fit to start.

That means unfortunate goalscorer Steven Bergwijn, Erik Lamela and Harry Winks all drop to a much stronger looking bench.

Mourinho names an unchanged back four which will hopefully provide stability and another chance for the Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez pairing to establish itself after a promising debut showing.

Here is the lineup in full:

Stability at the back, extra creativity in midfield and firepower in attack and on the bench, and yet we still find something to complain about…

I was as excited as anyone by the prospect of Mourinho unleashing Tanguy on the Premier League but clearly the Frenchman is going to be made to play Jose’s waiting game, and neither he, nor we, can have any complaints about that based on what we saw across the first part of the season.

I’m sure he’ll get some minutes off the bench tonight, but even if he doesn’t can we please change the record? Ndombele is in danger of reaching Pogba territory here. We don’t want him to be the story when he’s not playing.

Davies, Dier, Sanchez and Aurier is such a poor back line. Our tempo and build up is so slow and predictable.

Usual spurs style rarely spend big and when you do get a dud or take 18 months to bed him in … our recent record is not great and it’s frustrating for fans who want a improving evolving team . Let’s hope le Celso shines .
