Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has admitted he is happy with what he has seen from Tanguy Ndombele in recent training sessions.
The French midfielder entered the lockdown period under a cloud having been called out by Mourinho for a lack of effort in the draw with Burnley.
But it appears as though he has started to turn things around, with Mourinho speaking positively about him at today’s press conference…

I’m not saying that he’s been the player we broke our transfer record to sign, but people were far to quick to trash him with little consideration of the facts.
I just hope people don’t start bigging up Jose too much for this supposed ‘transformation when after all a player of his age and profile will inevitably need time to find his feet.
Levy generally signs ‘punts’ and players other big clubs pass on, not sure Tanguy fits into that. He’s talented in the way Modric was, although Modric needed time to settle he looked more up for it early on.
Players are humans and price tags are irrelevant to the reality of how they adapt….
