Tottenham have been linked with a move for Atalanta’s Timothy Castagne as the Belgian enters the final year of his current deal with the Italian side.
Spurs have had to rely on Serge Aurier to play as their right-back for much of this season, but the Ivorian has proven to be a flop who is always one mistake away from causing problems for his team.
The print edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport via Sempreinter claims that Tottenham is among a host of clubs looking to sign the young Belgian.
Castagne will be entering the final year of his current deal at Atalanta at the end of this season and the Italians are looking to tie him down to a new deal.

The same report reveals that Atalanta believes they can make as much as €20 million from his sale if they give him a new deal, however, that sum would be significantly reduced to around €10-15 million if they cannot convince the 23-year-old to sign a new contract with them before the end of this season.
Despite the financial limitations that would be forced on teams due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Spurs still expect to spend some money strengthening their team in the summer.
One can only keep their fingers crossed that this report is true and that Castagne is being lined up as a potential Aurier replacement.
Surely we can find a RB who can do both
Belgium is producing top class footballers at the moment and Atlanta are flying, playing brilliant attacking football. I haven’t seen him play, he could be a good addition but I think he will have his pick of clubs.
As I’ve said “I like him as a outside right. Squad player though.
Nor me, I’d give him away!
I wouldn’t be selling serge.
Fingers crossed!
