Against West Ham, Who Might Dele Alli Replace?

By Joe Fish -

Jose Mourinho has Dele Alli and Lucas Moura available again for Tottenham’s London derby with West Ham United on Tuesday.

Premier League managers face enforced rotation due to the tight schedule for the remainder of the season, and Dele and Lucas offer Mourinho the attacking options he was short of against Manchester United.

Lucas might find his route back into the team blocked by Steven Bergwijn who put in a star turn versus United, scoring a fabulous solo goal.

But Dele Alli must be recalled to provide an extra goal threat and physical presence. The ball was bouncing straight back to us in the second half. That means dropping Erik Lamela, who did okay versus United, but I won’t lose any sleep over it.

There must also be a place for Giovani Lo Celso, even if he can only get through an hour, and Moussa Sissoko is probably the most suitable partner leaving Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele – again – on the bench.

I’d want to see the Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez given a run of games but I cannot see Toby Alderweireld being kept out of the picture for long. Sanchez might be the one to make way this week with the knowledge that Dier potentially faces a spell out with his FA charge still hanging over him.

Here’s how we could lineup v West Ham. What do you think?
