Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a surprise move for Jose Mourinho at the end of the season.

They need to bring in a quality alternative to Ange Postecoglou, and a report from Fichajes claims that his name has come up as a potential replacement.

It seems highly unlikely that Tottenham will move for their former manager anytime soon. Also, the chances of the Portuguese technician returning to the London club are very slim.

Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham in 2021, just a few days before the League Cup final, and the decision did not go down well with the manager. He has criticised Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, publicly for the decision, and he also revealed that Tottenham are the only club out of the ones he has managed that he does not share a deep connection with.

There is no doubt that he is a quality manager who has won the Premier League multiple times. He could be a superb appointment for most teams, but Tottenham need to look at other options. The Portuguese manager is clearly not a fan of Levy, and he has no positive feelings towards Tottenham either.

It is fair to assume that he will be interested in the job, even if it is presented to him.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have been linked with multiple Premier League managers like Thomas Frank and Andoni Iraola. It will be interesting to see who they end up appointing eventually.

It has been a disappointing season for them, and they will look to bounce back strongly. They need quality signings in the summer and a manager who can help them get back to their best.
