Hugo Lloris has been named in the Tottenham starting lineup for tonight’s must-win Premier League match at home to Norwich City.
It is the French goalkeeper’s first appearance since dislocating his shoulder in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton on October 5, and he takes back the armband.

Lloris has been back in training for a week or two but Jose Mourinho had given no indication that the 33-year-old was ready to return to action.
In fact, he told Standard Sport he wouldn’t be back before February.
These Spurs supporters on Twitter were surprised to see his name on the team sheet when the lineup dropped, most of them pleasantly so although deputy Paulo Gazzaniga was not without his loyal sympathisers.
Lloris is back. Wasn’t expecting that. #coys

Whilst it’s great that Hugo is back, I feel a bit sorry for Gazza 🤷🏼♀️ #COYS

Gutted how Gazza saving us vs Watford with the penalty save is dropped…
Hate Mourinho!
Recalling Lloris immediately, especially on the back of Gazzaniga’s crucial penalty save against Watford, expels any thought that the goalkeeping hierarchy could change under new management. And, in truth, Gazzaniga hasn’t been consistent enough to seriously challenge the number one.
The unexpected change in between the posts is one of only two changes from the draw at Vicarage Road. Japhet Tanganga is left out after a decent run in the side, in favour of the more attacking Ryan Sessegnon at full-back.
Tanguy Ndombele and Gedson Fernandes are both on the bench.
Silly decision to pick Hugo, it makes no sense tbh.
Watch out for the Hugo Howler!
