We Reached Out To Bale’s Representatives This Month [itk]

By The Boy -

Gareth Bale’s return to Tottenham is a story that may well not stop until the boy hits close on 40 years of age. It’s a fairy tale, it’s closure, it is so many things to so many football fans and football journalists, that it is a story that so difficult to decry.

Bale’s contract with the Spanish giants expires in 2020.

The Harry Hotspur blog understands from a source close to Tottenham that a line of dialogue with Gareth Bale was 100% opened this month.

If true, then these discussions would have only been via British super agent Jonathan Barnett, the man that brokered the legendary deal that took Spurs’ greatest Welshman since Cliff Jones, from Haringey to the Bernabeu.

That said, earlier this month, Mr Barnett was uncompromising in his view on Bale’s situation, telling ESPN, that his boy was not about to relocate, and that the 4 time Champions League winner was “going nowhere” in the January transfer window.

Levy will have a monopoly on the stuff they use to pad the rooms tho. That was the master plan. Send them all stark raving booloo and corner the market on straight jackets etc. So he was a good business man after all…

Few enic haters….. I’m sort of indifferent as I’m aware that he does good and bad, but patience is running thin. Name me one thing (other than stadium ) that leads you too believe levy cares.

we are currently the wealthiest club in london and instead of identifying and getting reinforcements we are acting poor and showing the ambition Burnley and most people I know agree and blame enic

So one piece of evidence please

Barnett is ruling out a loan but not an outright purchase. This is now more than a rumour. Getting Bale would be a massive statement of intent!

Agreed , the best thing that’s happened to us fans is the punching above our weight , making the champions league final , levy has no where to hide now . The excuses have run out , the financials cannot be an excuse and fans are waking up to the fact the bald one has no intention of investing on the team

Reached out and got our hand smacked. Everybody is welcome on the blog, if we all had the same opinions it would be pretty boring. If some of us seem a bit cynical about ENIC, it’s based on over twenty years of evidence. We also have the example of another club not too far from us that were promised heaven and earth when a new stadium, hotel, luxury flats, retail centre, etc etc were built. It all might turn out rosy yet at Tottenham, but I’ll believe when I see it.

Levy ‘reaching out’ for a player and actually parting with any serious money are two completely different and alien concepts!

There is nothing our diminutive supremo likes more than being ‘linked’ by the media with genuinely top class players, as it constitutes a free PR exercise, which makes the club actually appear ambitious.

However, as we all know from bitter experience, the reality is that Levy/ENIC will disingenuously plead poverty, make derisory if not downright insulting bids and haggle pathetically over pennies, before ultimately blowing our most realistic deals.

The litany of failed transfers, from Hazard to Grealish, via Willian, Moutinho, Mousa Dembele, Sessegnon (the first time), Zaha, Maguire, Mane, Lopez, Sancho, Barkley, et al, constitutes a ‘hall of shame’ of bungling incompetence, with the fingerprints of just one serial offender all over every one of them.

Dunno how the rest of you feel, but I’ve had it with building and re building, and projects. It’s total and utter kak. We are not anywhere near the club I grew up with. Saddled with loads of debt, I’m unsure as to this year’s reason we can’t get top players. It’s possible they don’t want to play for under the going rate, acknowledging the fact they are all overpaid, or the fact we don’t win anything. Maybe with all the building going on we should attempt a cheeky move for nick Knowles?? Stop it mate, and for the record the enic basher are growing in numbers quickly, and this ain’t the club you want that turning on you I promise. Meanwhile another 40ft trailer of 50 quid notes dissappears up the High road…

Rivaldo… Moutinho… Dybala… players we we tried to get but couldn’t.
I’d love Bale back but I won’t hold my breath.

Might be new on here but have been watching Spurs for over 40 years.(West stand STH for over 20 years). You are clearly one of the FEW ENIC haters ! Shame as your BASHING affects the players and as A Tottenham boy born and raised I find that unacceptabel! I back My Local Club no matter what.Hey we are all entitled to our opinions though!! “You wont last”? Pahahaha come try to remove me!! I dare you poppet I dare you!!

You’re new here. You won’t last with an opinion that suggests we’re going places. Those here have the benefit of sight and can clearly see that under the current owners that ain’t happening

Forget about this season as its a rebuilding project now as Jose has not had the time to push his ideas fully onto the lads yet. Patience and pray we get into 4th place which is possible after watching Chealski and Arsenholes last night! You think weve problmes watch them!!! 😉

They all thought Spurs were going places three years ago. Not sure how many still think that now.

Speculation to cover their true activity in this Transfer window. Levy is master at this as he has prooved before. Many of you forget Tottenham have ALWAYS signed World Class Players when we need to improve the squad even as far back as Ossie and Ricky! We struggled to compete with TOP players for years due to the size of WHL hence the New stadium. Now we have a group of young players who will take this club to the next level with a few more additions to the squad. Do NOT underestimate Jose and the resepct he demands from players and Club owners! And this alone will make World class players think hang on Spurs are going places. Patience is a virtue!!!

Not a chance. People need to smell the coffee. Every window we have the same links to top players. How many do we actually get? More realistic is him testing the water to see if benteke would cause a riot

I would literally weep with joy. Love bale…… Babyface has gone… Poch apparently in talks. Would be rather embarrassing for enic if he’s backed and goes on to win stuff. Especially if maureen fails in spectacular fashion.
