Video: Eriksen’s Anfield Warm-Up Shows Just How Bored He Is At Spurs

By Joe Fish -

I’m getting tired of writing about Christian Eriksen, to be honest.

I am as apathetic towards him as he is towards Tottenham Hotspur.

MORE: Roy Keane Digs Out Spurs Star For Off-Field Behaviour

But I won’t be spared this weekly torture until Mauricio Pochettino freezes out the want-away Dane, and we all know that isn’t going to happen.

So here goes…

For yesterday’s trip to Liverpool, Pochettino senselessly ditched record signing Tanguy Ndombele, off the back of his best game yet for Spurs in the 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade, for a man that cares approximately this much:

Frustation over Pochettino’s selection was vindicated when Ndombele came on and did more in 27 minutes than Eriksen managed the whole match.

Pochettino must be seeing this lack of effort – everybody else is – and yet he continues to keep Eriksen involved at the expense of the club’s future stars.

The worry there is, that Pochettino has become as disinterested as Eriksen…

I really hope boch can turn it around… Cant see moaninho coming.. Southgate wouldn’t leave cushy england post. Only thing he did for Middlesbrough was get them relegated anyway the man is a mouse. Howe, no thanks.. Whoever levy gets next will highly likely stink of mediocrity

Oh and the next spurs manager won’t believe his luck. He’s gonna have a field day in paradise all for the cheap price of £150 mil and a reshuffle. I don’t think people realize how close we are. Like I keep saying spurs domination gonna start in the early 20 and I knew most of the current squad wouldn’t be part of it. We’ll be ok. Just a little bit more patience and faith

I agree, it’s all over for Poch at Spurs. We all know who the culprit is here, but any manager who replaces Poch will ultimately have the same problem with Levy, penny wise , pound foolish. The heart of the problem is our transfer strategy which is being run by an megalomaniac, bordering on Asperger’s. The mantra of cheap is good is an anathema to most Spurs fans. We are clueless in the transfer market because our august and highly over paid and over rated chairman wants to play Football Manager. This is despite his manifest failings to control the NFL costs to enable it’s anchor tenants to move in on time. When will the majority shareholder of Enic wake up and realise that he has an incompetent CEO in charge of a football club , in reality a shopping emporium, which is now starting to lag way beyond it’s peer group. This realisation will only come when we fail to qualify for the Champion’s League, the stadium is half full, season tickets are not being renewed and Harry Kane demands a transfer. How long is it going to be before Spurs supporters wake up and smell the coffee?

while our rivals are investing in world class players to fill gaps, we are selling them (in some cases…actually to our rivals). The gap is not just a case of them pulling away, its us stepping back. I wouldn’t even mind flogging a top draw player to be replaced by a top up and comer (Like Leciester did with mahrez for Maddison) but we sold Walker, 27 at the time (in his prime) and replaced him with Aurier who was 24 with a dreadful reputation of having no ability to control himself (both on and off the field). I would rather have bought a player with less raw ability and a far better mental attitude.
