Tottenham seeing Barcelona hijack Inter Milan ace as their interest for Juve star decreases

By Eddie Razo -

The striker position will be an area that Tottenham Hotspur will be looking at to provide more support to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. The north London club began working on this process this past January when they brought in Dejan Kulusevski.

A couple of days ago, a report surfaced detailing that Tottenham and Arsenal were attentive to the Inter Milan goal-scorer Lautaro Martínez as the Italian club might go through another fire sale. Still, now Sport reports that FC Barcelona is back in the Argentine race.

Barcelona hopes to use Memphis Depay as a bargaining chip to land the 24-year-old this summer as they look for a long-term solution at striker. Martínez hasn’t had his best season in the post-Conte era, scoring 17 goals in 41 fixtures.

The Inter Milan man isn’t the only striker that the north London club is eyeing. They have also been connected to Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, who will be leaving the Italian club on a free transfer.

However, Tuttomercatoweb reports that Dybala isn’t a concrete goal for the north London club, as they go for a younger option at that position which is what Martínez would represent.

Nonetheless, a move away from Dybala would be surprising, considering the connection to Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici.
