Tottenham Hotspur legend criticizes the behavior of Tanguy Ndombele

By Eddie Razo -

The future of midfielder Tanguy Ndomble remains uncertain, with a few weeks left until the summer transfer window closes. A recent report by The Athletic suggests that the 24-year-old weighs his options after being left off the squad in a friendly against Arsenal FC.

Ndombele joined Tottenham two years ago for a fee of around £55 million, so the France international had the pressure of living up to that price tag. Thus far, it’s been a bag of mixed results.

As the midfielder’s future is up in the air, Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has called out Ndombele’s behavior. The former defender went to tweet that it’s a “joke” concerning the situation Ndombele.

“Time for no excuses,” Graham tweeted. “Paid a large amount of money by the club had two years to settle everyone helping him inside and outside of the club time to deliver or go not to get yourself fit in 2.5 years a joke.”

The window remains open for any club perhaps expressing interest in Ndombele, but maybe that will be reserved for those with deep pockets. The France international earns £200,000 a week, so this reduces the number of suitors. Regardless, if Ndombele stays, it will likely be his last shot to remain with the London-based side if he doesn’t hit the ground running.
