Three Tottenham players could join Lo Celso in missing Wycombe game

By Bruce Grove -

Giovani Lo Celso is definitely missing Tottenham’s FA Cup game against Wycombe today, but it has now been revealed that he might be joined by three other players on the sidelines.

The Argentinean has been suffering from an injury he picked up in Tottenham’s 2-0 loss to Leicester City last year.

His return date has not yet been revealed. Spurs will want to field a slightly weakened team in the game against the Wanderers, but their options might be limited now.

This is because Sky Sports reports that Dele Alli, Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty are all doubts for the game.

Alli is suffering from a tendon problem that could see him miss the game, even though the injury shouldn’t keep him out for the long-term.

Doherty is suffering from an “unspecified” problem, while Aurier has been ill for some time now.

The game’s winner will face Everton in the next round of the competition, and Jose Mourinho will want to avoid any kind of shock.

Spurs are expected to travel with their squad, but they will probably field a weakened team, even though it might be stronger than the one that faced Marine in the last round of the competition.
