Levy to make final Alli decision after Mourinho makes his stance clear

By Bruce Grove -

Daniel Levy will have the final say on the future of Dele Alli this month after Jose Mourinho gave the green light for him to leave the club.

The Englishman isn’t a major part of the Portuguese manager’s plans for this campaign, and he has struggled to see playing time.

He has been linked with a move away from the club, but they turned down a loan offer from PSG in the summer.

The French side remains the team with the strongest interest in him, and now that Mauricio Pochettino has been named their latest manager, they will likely come back for him.

The transfer window will close in about six days, and the future of Alli is still in the balance.

The Athletic says that Mourinho has accepted that he could leave, but the final decision rests in the hands of Levy.

The Tottenham supremo has been reluctant to sell Alli, and he also wasn’t ready to loan out the former MK Dons man in the last transfer window.

The report says he is still not ready to sell Alli, and will not accept a loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer.

Alli has his eyes on a place in the England squad for the Euros later in the summer and wants his future sorted out quickly.

So Alli starts today. Puts a shift in, then Jose will tell you it is a numbers game, even with Lucas and Bergwjin not producing and Lo celso in the infirmary.
