There are changes in the Tottenham Hotspur front office as Steve Hitchen has resigned as Tottenham’s director of technical performance.
According to Sky Sports News, Hitchen became uncertain about his position following the appointing of Fabio Paratici as Managing Director of Football last year. Furthermore, the Italian club chief has done away with some of the players Hitchen brought during his tenure.
Players Hitchen brought into the north London club included club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso left on loan on Deadline Day during the January transfer window.
With Paratici and manager Antonio Conte now taking hold of this project at Spurs, Hitchen seems to have taken a step back, becoming more of a public figure. He’s been pictured alongside Paratici at matches this season, supporting the team from the dugout.
Hitchen worked at Tottenham before this recent tenure, being credited with a part in the arrival of Luka Modric in 2008. Sky Sports revealed no further details explaining the decision or what’s next for him.
It’s like a new dawn. No time on the pitch or behind for scenes for shirkers, charlatans and shysters.
Agree totally.
That.
That’ll be the NDAs. You rarely if ever hear anyone speaking out with specific details.
Paid to keep schtum.
Yup, how many stunt-men and stooges has Levy got through over the last 23 years to cover his own backside? He probably pays them well, I’ll give him that.
Closer and closer…
The bald truth.
Been saying he should go for years. He should have been fired before resigning as he is behind most of the disaster transfers in recent time. In any other business where someone spents over £50m on an asset that didn’t work, would be fired immediately.
And that’s the Barefaced Truth.
Another fall guy for Levy. For us to really improve, it is our beloved chairman who needs weeding out.
The Conte effect.. Ndom and Dele gone. Hitchen gone.. Weed out the weak immediately, much needed.
Culpable. One down…
It’s excellent news. The less convoluted our transfer decision making becomes, the better.
