Matt Law wrote in The Telegraph today that Tottenham are confident of doing a deal for ex-Southampton skipper Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
But Jose Mourinho’s midfield recruitment might not be done there.
According to Foot Mercato in France, the Spurs boss dreams of adding Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to his options in the centre of the park.
The report explains that Mourinho wants to add some size in midfield, which does fit with his traditional profile of player in that position. At 6ft 3in (ca. 2 m), Milinkovic-Savic is the Portuguese’s perfect combo of physicality and technique, which has helped him to six goals and seven assists this season.
The Serbian international has long been linked with a big move and won’t come cheap and yet Foot Mercato understands that Mourinho’s ambition to bring him to North London is on top, not instead of, signing Hojbjerg.
That would only mean one thing – goodbye Tanguy Ndombele.
Would you lose Ndombele to get SMS this summer?

Exactly, every year the same, linked to 20 or 30 players, sign non of them! Same again this year.
I gave up at “the Spurs boss dreams…………….”
ridiculous
Minimum requirement from new signings is 💯% effort N’dombele hasn’t given us that…
Levy will not pay the money Lazio want for Savic either.
The chances are that Lazio will be in the CL next season and we won’t,so would he move here?
Most of the rumours concerning us are ridiculous, why do people bother.
Ndombele is such a beast of a player . It’s sad to hear his trouble with Mourinho. We were very fortunate to get our hands on him and must do everything to make him settle here . Mou or no Mou.
Tanguy all the way.
Nobody is paying £60 million for Tanguy, so Levy won’t be willing to take a loss.
