Report: Romelu Lukaku could try to force his way out of Chelsea to reunite with Antonio Conte

By Eddie Razo -

The return of Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge hasn’t gone the way he nor Chelsea would have hoped. Furthermore, during an interview, the 28-year-old recently stated his unhappiness with manager Thomas Tuchel.

As a result, the German tactician decided to drop Lukaku against Liverpool, so his future remains uncertain, but perhaps there might be a way out. La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Marca) reports that the Belgium international could force a reunion with Antonio Conte.

The Tottenham Hotspur boss did manage the Chelsea striker at Inter Milan, where they won the Serie A title. The door is reportedly closed at the Italian club, so a reunion might be in store.

Also, it seems as though the Italian tactician is the manager to get the most out of him. Spurs need another forward that can provide goals for their squad to lessen their responsibilities on Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

However, a deal between two rival London clubs doesn’t seem likely, but if Conte wants to reunite with Lukaku and the striker feels the same way, there might be a possible deal.

Still, the €115-million price tag Chelsea paid for might be too rich for Tottenham if The Blues hope to recoup a significant portion of what they paid for this past summer.

I can forgive the overseas journos writing this tosh – what I find unforgivable is it being reproduced on this site.

Lukaku should have been signed before he went to Everton, as good a number 9 as there is, not a chance now.

More bullish*t.

One thing that isn’t bullish*t is the sense Professor Pollard has made clear about the point of booster vaccines to everyone. The only scientist that advises government with any shred of credibility. Yet Whitty gets knighted…

A player who has just said the only club he wants to play for is Inter Milan.
No thanks.

Never mind Mr Levy wouldn’t pay the transfer fee and wages and at 28 at the end of his contract he would have little sell on value.

Makes you wonder how very little these overseas journos understand about the off-pitch dynamics that exist between certain English clubs. I doubt Chelsea would sell us a virus, let alone a top striker.

Like Levy would pay Lukaku’s wages haha. It’s silly season in the news again, more chance of signing Messi.

Excellent news! I always find that Eddie Razo is bang on the money with his insightful and highly accurate ITK.

I’ve just ordered my Spurs shirt with Lukaku on the back. Eddie you’re the best!

Just as an FYI, i’ve heard (on previous blogs on here) that Rudiger is also chomping at the bit to play for Spurs too. Perhaps we could all chip in and arrange a horse drawn carriage to bring them both to Spurs together?
