Watch Fabrizio Romano Say “Reminds me of prime Ibrahimović” “Super Emotional” About One Spurs Target

By The Boy -

I am prepared to be wrong, lord knows I have been right about so many issues surrounding Tottenham Hotspur… but Fabrizio Romano has what he called himself a “super emotional” belief in Fiorentina ace, Dusan Vlahovic.

One thing football people have to do is listen to those that have a greater understanding. Romano’s pedigree is exceptional, and so I am happy to take his lead. Blimey, nobody drops Ibrahimović’s name lightly.

Time for The Boy to get stuck into his homework!

You’re right about City, can see them going for Vlahovic.. But don’t write off our chances.. Conte and Paratici have pulling power… Romero won the award for best defender in serie A last season. Barcelona were in for him, I thought we had no chance but he came to us.

There was a lot of hype in the summer about us making a move for this guy, but I’d be surprised now. He’s not extending and so his agent is going out to get the best deal he can (for himself and his player) and that ain’t us!

Citeh seem the likeliest suitors as they are without a main striker and I can’t see them pitching for Harry Kane given his form, age etc. and Levy may have fully squashed that one anyway or will do, with his unrealistic expectations of what people are prepared to pay.

Citeh also win things and have a going concern of a team/squad, arguably the best coach in the world (albeit he may be off at seasons end) and they have a proper door on the manager’s office (not a revolving one).

ManU might have a dig and for all said and done the name still has a big pull and Ronaldo is ultimately only a stand-in; this guy could knit their diverse attacking players together as a traditional No.9.

The Bin-Dippers? Probably not, but they could look to bolster or buy to spoil the strength of competitors. They are the least predictable. Not sure Cheatski would want to change their pattern now, it seems to be working and doesn’t need fixing.

THFC is not a compelling story, but maybe there was enough ground work done in the summer to be in a position to make a pitch if we get there early enough and don’t fcuk around with structuring fees, bonuses, nickel and diming on the fee – but…… history attests that even if we were in with a shout, that is exactly what Levy would do to sabotage the prospect of significant expenditure.

Also whilst Levy or the Itchy-Parrot can wax lyrical on the beautiful plumage of the training facility and stadium, we have an awful recent history, a reputation that must be circling the drain for management, consistency, stability and ambition………..oh yes – and results and winning stuff!

One might suspect we could have picked this lad up in the summer, but by all accounts as I recall them, Levy would not engage at anywhere near the fee being quoted and I’m guessing was looking to leave it and see if there was a better deal as his contract runs down.

There will be, but not for us. The opportunity (as has happened so many times in the past) will be lost because Levy, the proverbial monkey on our backs, will not let go of the sugar lump in the bottle.

Levy the master negotiator????? If he were a striker missing so many chances – everyone else would avoid him, but he’d probably sign himself!
