Tanguy Ndombele was signed by Spurs after they saw off competition from several top European teams.
The hope was that he would help fill the huge void left behind by the departure of Mousa Dembele.
The Frenchman has, however, had a very forgettable campaign in his debut season in the Premier League and his future is now uncertain.
He has been linked with a move away from Spurs this summer after seemingly falling out with Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager has barely used him since the restart, however, the club has maintained that he is not for sale.
Even though he doesn’t currently consider him good enough for his team, Mourinho also maintains belief in the 23-year-old and that makes it hard for any of his suitors to get their man.
However, Football.London is reporting that the Lilywhites will keep hold of him and that the only reason they would consider selling him is if he demands to leave.
At his age, the club would feel that he has plenty of time to reach his potential and giving up on him so soon wouldn’t make any sense.
To some degree that is comforting, it means Mourinho is still prepared to give Ndombele a chance and it would be huge for the team if there is some sort of rapprochement between the pair.
Ndombele is a huge talent and it really would be a shame if he fails to make it at Tottenham.
I know players take time to settle – remember Modders and even Harry with Balio Coolio but this one feels different.
He just appears to have 100% attitude so let him move on take a bit of a hit and recycle the money and as for £200k pw I still cant believe that (I know it has been published somewhere).
He’s had a full season already, plus extra time off with covid.. Give me 200k bruv and i would be fit for you in one week easy. We finally start getting results when he’s not involved.. Alasdair Gold is very wrong there I think.. The only reason he goes is ‘if he wants to’ is just plain nonsense.. That would apply to Kane alone in our squad… Tanguy has been poor or injured far too often. Maureen knows the score. Expecting him to be moved on as soon as a decent offer comes in…. Up the villians.. Grealish is a beast… A flower amongst thorns…… Sell Ndombenchy and go all out for grealish.. He would feed kane quality balls all day from anywhere. Quality player. Bale has no choice but to wait for the raw garlic eater to come to his senses, N’Dombele hasn’t coped so far, it’s up to him to prove himself, nobody himself at this level.
It doesn’t sound like he wants to do a Bale and sit out his contract it’s more likely his entourage want to orchestrate a transfer.This is why I said he won’t be leaving unless Spurs receive a fee to their liking.
You can add £30m for Sessegnon, a player we’re about to send out on loan, to that madness. £90m+ basically down the plughole. I don’t know who is running this club but he needs a lobotomy.

With marginal gains so important, blowing £60m on Ndombele has played a massive part in not getting Ch Lg.
The only way he will be leaving ,is if Tottenham’s demands are met.
