Latest news on Tanguy Ndombele Tottenham future is rather ominous for the midfielder

By Bruce Grove -

Tanguy Ndombele is running out of time to prove that he can be a star for Tottenham after his summer move to the Lilywhites.

Ndombele joined Spurs for a record fee in the summer and fans were hopeful that he would be a long term replacement for Moussa Dembele who had left a void behind in Spurs’ midfield.

However, the Frenchman has had an unimpressive start to life at Tottenham.

He has fallen out with Jose Mourinho, who doesn’t think that he does enough to be included in the team.

And the latest news on his future isn’t good news for the former Lyon man on any level.

Fresh reports are linking Spurs with at least two new midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window.

Several reports have linked the Lilywhites with a move for Southampton midfielder, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (TeamTalk).

The Dane is set to be sold when the transfer window reopens after telling the Saints that he is leaving and Spurs are his main suitors.

Football Insider also claims that Spurs are eyeing a move for Schalke 04’s Weston McKennie.

The American is expected to be sold this summer due to the German side’s financial problems.

Both publications claim these midfielders are set to replace Ndombele.

Signing any of these midfielders is ominous for Ndombele, it reduces his chances of becoming a first-team regular and brings into question his future at the Tottenham stadium.
