Ivan Perisic might be on his way to Tottenham this summer as his agent looks to get him to the Tottenham Stadium following continued silence from Bayern Munich.
The Inter Milan winger spent this season on loan at the German side, and he seemed to have impressed them enough to make his loan deal permanent.
However, since the end of the Bundesliga season, there has been silence from the Bavarian side and they have instead signed Leroy Sane from Manchester City.
Perisic is keen on staying with them, but FC Inter News claims that his agent has now turned their attention to the English market as they want to avoid being caught unawares by the German’s indecision.
The Croatian has shown his commitment to the Bavarian side by taking a pay cut to remain with them for their Champions League campaign next month, but that has still not been enough to get him signed permanently yet.
Perisic is a long-term target of Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese manager wanted to land him during his time as the manager of Manchester United (The Express).
Perisic helped Croatia reached the final of the last World Cup and he will bring important experience to the Tottenham wing should he join them.
At 31, Perisic is certainly getting on but given a choice between him and Willian I know which one I would prefer and it certainly is not the Chelsea man.
We need full backs who can cross I agree. Davies is even worse than aurier at crossing… But wingers we have Son and Sessy on the left.. Lucas and bergwjn on the right…. New full backs needed both sides. And thats before Aurier and Davies need replacing. Neither has any competition for their place.
Give us a good winger who knows how to deliver crosses for Harry any day of the week and let’s stop the thinking Aurier is a capable wingback nonsense,he will never be a Trent Arnold.Maybe then Aurier will be in our half when we need him to defend.
