“He is obviously not showing a lot to Jose to make him want to play him” Redknapp has his say on Bale

By Bruce Grove -

Harry Redknapp says Gareth Bale hasn’t given Jose Mourinho a reason to field him in more games this season.

The attacker re-joined Spurs on loan from Real Madrid in the summer after struggling for game time in the Spanish capital.

He was one of the best players in England before he left for Spain in 2013, and Tottenham would have dreamt of having a similar Bale back after sealing the summer move.

The attacker has, however, simply failed to kick on this season and the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Erik Lamela are even considered ahead of him in the pecking order.

As he struggles for playing time, Redknapp wonders if it will be best for him to take the easy way out and make a move to the MLS or China where he can become a star and probably shine with a lesser effort.

He then adds that some of the players who make the team ahead of him aren’t even fit to lace his boots.

The ex-Spurs boss has told Stadium Astro: “If he isn’t going to do it at Tottenham, where is he going to do it? Does he have to take the easy option of going to America or China to play?

“He is obviously not showing a lot to Jose to make him want to play him. He is bringing people on who, I’m not being disrespectful, couldn’t lace his boots. He’s been on another planet to them as a player.”

He hadn’t played a competitive game for ages before he arrived. Probably still ain’t got 90 mins in him. He’s 31. I’m sure he wants to come out and play with total confidence in his body. Fully fit. He’ll get there. Bale certainly doesn’t want to go back. Bale in transit

Bales like a rover v8 p6 that’s been sitting for too long (the one with the wheel on the back🌚 she’ll be purring again soon. Lovely engines to work on.

I haven’t seen Bale look like he is sprinting once since his return. He saunters around and passes sideways. I haven’t seen him put one tackle in or look angry once either. Trusting him from past experiences is not enough for me. When VDV came he looked bothered and a class apart, even if it was only for 70 mins! Bale, sadly, looks nowhere near a top class player anymore.

He’s not you know. Too much quality to be finished. He’s just feeling his way back in slowly. Wait and see. 🌚
He was free kicking with Harvey white after training before Harvey left. Watch and learn son

Bale is finished – just two people who cannot see it – you and Daniel Levy

Bale, needs to do what he knows he can do. He needs to maybe risk the wrath of Jose and do what he does best giving one last sh1t or bust effort. He’s now has nothing to loose this season. But could drag this team up by the scruff of its neck.
