The January transfer window is open, and there could be some names departing the Tottenham Hotspur squad before the month ends. Two names that have been in the rumors are Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano appeared on the Last Word on Spurs’ YouTube Channel, where he provided the latest on Ndombele and Alli.
The France international has failed to impress since arriving from Olympique Lyonnais. Spurs have been looking to offload the 25-year-old in loan swap deals if reports are accurate.
However, clubs steer clear of such a proposal due to his high wages. Romano took stock and what Tottenham plans to do with Ndombele this transfer window.
“I think for Ndombele, there are huge chances,” Romano said. “Let’s see if they can find an opportunity because also during the summer they wanted to sell him, but they were not able to find the right club.”
Alli seems like he might want to get a fresh start at another club to revitalize his career, but perhaps manager Antonio Conte might want to keep him for another six months.
The Italian tactician might want to see if he can jumpstart the England international’s career. Nonetheless, Romano does state that Alli could be on the way out.
“For Dele Alli, I am not 100 percent sure yet that he is leaving, but he has possibilities to leave,” Romano said. “It’s not a priority. They are not desperate to sell Alli, but it is a possibility of they find a good opportunity.”
Frankly given what Alli cost and what we are paying him ..I’d let him go on a free..but then no one shafts 150 grand a week down the drain Levy. ..
Not sure why you guys get bent out of shape every time “they report the news”. Gosh if we as Spurs fan do not know they waste of time and to top it all, this honorable, space filling conversation about them 2. Talk to me when you know there is an offer. Otherwise, these utterances are just fueling rage. We are 9 days in and we recalled and loan a player in Ete. Big news over at N17. We can’t even Sell Vicker Carter who has a buyer. Just cut him loose for some fish and beans.
Hanging on to players who contribute almost nothing , typical of a badly run club.
Ndombele and Dele’s contribution to the cause is so worthless you wouldn’t know they’ve gone.
Regardless of what we think of them, you’d think we’d secure the services of an incoming central mid before letting either of them go.
