“Can’t see anyone beating the Lamela goal” Fans debate Tottenham’s Puskas goal contenders this season

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham players have scored some amazing goals this season, the last of which was Erik Lamela’s exquisitely executed rabona on Sunday.

The Argentinean has been one of Tottenham’s key players this season and that goal shows that he is a player that can be backed to produce a magical moment.

His goal isn’t the only impressive goal that Spurs have scored this season with Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane also producing awesome strikes.

One Manchester City fan account on Twitter, @ZimonMCFC, posted a collage of some goals that Spurs have scored this season and reckoned that they all deserved to win the Puskas.

Fans debated the best of the strikes on the post some understandably chose Lamela’s strike while others chose Kane’s against Crystal Palace which he scored not so long ago.

These goals show that Spurs have the players to turn their season around but whether they have the attitude is open to debate.

No such thing as luck. the moment was there he saw it. He tried it. He had the tech. It worked
Just as he was not unlucky to be sent off. He gets booked regularly and loves a niggle and we all saw it coming. Jose may have subbed him but he was the only one up for it

This so called ‘skill’ is so overrated, the amount of pure luck this goal had is laughable, you only have to see Lamela’s surprised reaction.

he's got no left foot

Lamela, N’Dombele. I jumped in the air when those went in. the sheer audacity and instinct at play. It’s moments/goals like these i cherish as a Spurs fan. When we played headers and volleys, 3and in etc did we quantify our enjoyment by taking home a tin pot?
