What time can we expect Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon deals to be announced?

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs fans are naturally over the moon that both Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon are on the verge of signing for Tottenham but the big question is when will it happen.

Well, the Premier League have rules and if Tottenham want either player available for the game against Southampton on Sunday and you can take it to the bank they do, then noon on Friday is the cut-off point reports Football London.

Medicals have reportedly already taken place in Spain with both players passing with flying colours (Mundo Deportivo) and it is literally just a case of putting pen to paper to get both deals confirmed.

The club may well announce the deals some point later on Friday but the registration of both Bale and Reguilon must be done before 12 pm on Friday or neither will feature against Southampton.

Unless something happens at the last minute I think it is safe to say that Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon will be announced as Tottenham players within the next 24 hours.

Expect significant publicity from Tottenham and a lot of nonsense from rival fans that have been massively triggered by what Daniel Levy has managed to pull off this week.

I like Dier. But he’s not great I agree. If he can cut out his mistakes then he’ll be fine.. Maureen loves and trusts him it seems which is key.

Central attacking… He has to play in that number 10 role for me behind kane… Thats where he plays his best football. He will score alot from outside and feeding and linking up with Kane.. Deadly.

Coronavirus outbreak has doubled within a week here. 5 days exemption is the rules at this moment in time for any new elite athlete coming here… Bale would be ready before four weeks. His injury isn’t bad…… But 5 days isolation and then we have an international break in two weeks…. Bob Hope died in 1998 mate! 😆

Yeah I just read somewhere that it’s 5 days for elite athletes who have undergone previous testing… They are both in London now. So 5 days from now

Agree Rose has no place at Spurs. He should be moved on as quickly as possible. He is a disruptive malcontent. Concerned about whether Bale has the will or the ability to maintain form and committment. Like Kane he is injury-prone and not delivering at his best. We could lose them both by Christmas. Their pre-occupations (Bale-golf; Kane- Capt. England) may also create problems.

Numbers does not make quality unless they all play at the same time then yes we have enough. Stick by what I said Toby is quality but slow, sanchez next then tanganga the rest can be sold or loaned

I’m not sure CB is that much of a priority right now, a striker is far more important. Currently we have Dier, Toby, Sanchez, Tanganga, Foyth and Ben Davies plays CB for Wales quite effectively. More than enough really.

Makes you tingle just watching him doesn’t it? What a gifted and powerful player he is. I always watch Wales games just to see him perform and it’s like he’s from a different league when fit. I’m hoping some of our youngsters, even Bergwjin, will learn from the master.

I believe Bale’s first game is at home to Wet Spam. Here’s hoping he can replicate that worldy of several years ago!

Bob hope is right in my understanding, if what you say is right Steve, then our lads coming back would have to 14 days isolate.

But no, they have what Liverpoil got when they went abroad recently, athletes exemption.

Sergio should play on Sunday.
Bale is 4 weeks away from fitness to play

Both are likely to be exempt from self isolation.

Random people on sites claiming Bale will be starting Sunday against Saints… No chance… Covid rules right now is each and every person entering this country have to go into two weeks isolation.. Whether tested yet or not, it’s 14 days isolating for everyone. Reguilon is in same boat too. They can’t train or play for two weeks.

I read something saying Sergio was already at the training ground yesterday completing medical so he can be registered &:play Sunday.

Sky are talking rubbish saying he’s coming on Private Jet with a Bale.

Dier is scraping it out with Davies for who is the biggest liability. I don’t trust either especially Dier. Gives away penalties and can’t jump for crosses. No way with his height and build a player should do him as easily as last weekend against Everton. Sell him he doesn’t even count as homegrown. For me japh should be ahead of Dier every time he is available. Yes he is raw but I understand that due to his age miles better at the moment than Dier.

I been saying for years that Bale should come home where he’s loved and adored… Never believed it could happen so soon. Kanes now got a decent golf partner to train with. Happy days…… Just been watching reels of Bale in recent times on you tube.. My goodness gracious me what a player.

Ings would be ideal.. We may be ok for a centre back now Dier has dropped back there. We got Toby, Dier, Sanchez and Japh.. Another centre back (though any upgrade would be welcome) would mean young Japh would be struggling for minutes.. Our 4 centre backs are capable I think.
