Watch Roy Keane’s savage throwaway remark after Liverpool game [Video]

By Joe Fish -

Roy Keane labelled Tottenham Hotspur full-backs Serge Aurier and Danny Rose ‘Dumb & Dumber’ following yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Rose was arguably culpable for Liverpool’s equaliser while Aurier gave away the penalty from which Mohamed Salah secured the Reds victory.

They was the latest in a series of mistakes the ‘defenders’ have made and Keane was typically brutal of his assessment during Sky Sports’ post-match.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I could listen to Roy Keane talking about football all day long. Here is his special analysis of Danny Rose & Serge Aurier after the Liverpool game today. "Dreadful. Dumb and dumber."<br><br>Brilliant. <a href="https://t.co/IgNTmXu6f7">pic.twitter.com/IgNTmXu6f7</a></p>— 360Sources (@360Sources) <a href="https://twitter.com/360Sources/status/1188551080814272512?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 27, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

As the Daily Mail reports, Keane hammered Rose’s “abysmal” England display against Czech Republic only a couple of weeks ago, but yesterday it was Aurier who was his the main target of his seething criticism.

“Aurier is a car crash,” Football London quotes Keane as saying. “You almost felt five seconds before he’s done it that got himself out of position, he’s done well to get back.

“Now you’re thinking just relax, show a little bit of composure, you’d gone great there and then it’s madness. You have to know the players you are up against.

“He knew exactly what was going to happen. We knew in the studio five seconds before it happened. This full-back is a disaster.”

We used to have the best pair of full-backs in the Premier League. Yesterday showed us again how far behind that standard we have dropped.

I was sick of him before the champions league final for fucks sake 😆 now i wince every time his name is in that starting eleven…. Kane deserves so much better than eriksen.. Now all eyes are on the chancer hes really been found out… Cant take the heat? Then get out the kitchen chris… Go home to denmark… And give the game up, get your apron and hat on and go bake those danish pastries.. Your new challenge and true destiny. Bakers boy…. Now lets get WINNERS, warriors, soldiers instead of these crumbly snowflakes…. At this rate we could be in trouble… Look at the west spam team who got relegated in 2003.. They had some quality players

I would imagine Levy will brick it at the prospect of losing top 4 – so we will see heavy investment…however, I think we will lose Kane and Poch before that. I can see another version of the magnificent 7 that happened after Bale.

You would think that Levy will have to continue with some reasonable investment in the team. Two NFL games a season for another 9 years isn’t going to balance the books and neither is mid-table finishes.

The cost to get us where we thought we were start of last season is going to be close to £350m…as you say, Kane will likely also ask to go, and I would not blame him

If he’s fit I want to see LoCelso starting. However he is another one who will be off at the end of the season if we fail to get a CL place.According to the loan deal he won’t make the move permanent if we fail to get top 4,as I understand it.
This means finding a replacement for him,Eriksen,Toby,Jan and almost certainly Rose and Aurier. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that seeing this scenario develope Kane will see no benefit in staying,if he is looking to win silverware, and will submit a transfer request.
This will make Levy cream himself, the thought of a possible 200M windfall, but don’t expect the money to be used for team rebuilding beyond possibly one or two cheap options to appease those fans who still think he walks on water.

Eriksen’s ship has sailed. Unfortunately he wasn’t on it.

Maybe here to stay…but we doesn’t mean we have to use him…however, I think in that formation we need him or Dier, and I think he slightly edges it. I do think Dier needs a string of games and he will get back to himself.
As for Forwards – Moura could get a shout in that front 3 too…we could actually rotate.

Sissoko, Ndombele and Los Celso.

Son, Kane, Lamela.

We need to see this. Sissoko is here to stay, need to accept that.

Tanguy is French though, aye?

Personally – if he makes the bench for us ever again I will be upset – let alone starting 11…I cant see why Poch cant see it when all the world can. CE has simply given up, and in all honesty, him and Alli should never have been forgiven for being so abject in the CL final.

We need to move on. Eriksen best days are behind him – for us at least. Not Poch nor anyone else will change his mind about staying – he’s gone.
