The future of Harry Kane with Tottenham Hotspur remains up in the air as the 28-year-old striker wants a move towards Manchester City. The London-based club has to prepare for the reality that they’ll need to sell Kane this summer and find a replacement.
Pete O’Rourke reports that Tottenham could be eyeing Everton FC striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a potential replacement.
“I still wouldn’t rule out, if Kane does go, possibly a move for Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton. I think he’s definitely on Tottenham’s radar; they see him as being a potential number nine,” O’Rourke said.
“He’s obviously an England international now; he was at the Euros. I think he’s an improving player, and Tottenham see him as possible replacement material for Harry Kane if they do decide to sell Kane.”
The Toffees could be open to a deal considering they have Moise Kean back in the squad to take over the striker position should a potential sale of Calvert-Lewin occur.
Younger and a lot less injury prone though.
He’s too expensive for Levy
Can’t see Everton letting him go, but he’s not even the level of Ings when it comes to goalscoring.
Just as for England he’s ‘like for like’ with Kane…just half as effective at best
