Video: “More than 18 months” – Sky Sports pundit states Antonio Conte will need time to turn Tottenham around

By Eddie Razo -

Former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte appears to be heading to north London to takeover Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo. So naturally, plenty of pundits weigh in on the pending arrival of the Italian tactician.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher believes that Conte arriving at Tottenham will make a difference for the struggling squad, which sits ninth place in the Premier League table.

Due to Tottenham’s current situation, Carragher states although Conte has experienced success everywhere he’s managed, the 52-year-old will need more than 18 months to mold Spurs into his vision and turn them into a squad that can challenge for trophies.

“I think a manager is going to need more than 18 months to turn Tottenham around. And even though I’m a huge admirer of Antonio Conte and how quickly he enjoyed success with Chelsea and every club he’s been at, I think it would be very difficult to replicate that success in 18 months,” Carragher said.

“I think he could need another 18 months on top of that to get Tottenham maybe back to where they were under Pochettino where you thought they had a chance of winning trophies, pushing people for the title Champions League year in, year out. I think there’s a lot of work to be done. Do I think Conte can turn it around in 18 months? I think it’ll be difficult even for a man of his character.”

The labotomy worth lunacy of this circus is too much…the things I’m hearing already…..’Spurs now have a world class Manager’…..WHAT WaS JOSE THEN?! JIMMY $@\&##@ KRANKIE!??

‘Levys now taking a back seat to let Patsy and Conte run things’

Super. I’ll look forward to Conte whipping Winks and Dier into world class performers in the coming days.

The line repeated here again and again is still true and will always be.

IT DOESN’T MATTER WHOs IN CHARGE.

Levys wangled a situation where he can get the plaudits for bringing in Conte without having to back him in a window. What’s different now than the summer?? There’s no window. 18 months? Serious?

I’m going to live up a metaphorical mountain cause this sh$t is beyond sanity. Fans are getting excited , they’re being taken down another Levy maze dead end. If there’s money for him(there won’t be) why didn’t Harry or Poch or AVB or even Nuno get it?? Now suddenly it’s war chest hour…..with no window. Get real.

If Conte takes this job I’ll have zero respect for him. He knows Utd is out cos Ole is being set up to be a Phoenix from the flames so he’s took the money.

Enjoy the Chiesa rumours ad infinitum….(why would any player want to play in the Euro conference)?

Fan-dabby-dozy

Beam me up.

Sorry to disagree Jim but it will take days for our new man to kick enough arses.
They will be bricking it now.
Try hiding in a game now and you wont be left out to play Fortnite all day you will be sent out to pick litter at Accrington Stanley.
We are a decent mid table team who have the stats of a relegation outfit.
Get them giving a *&^k and chasing everything that moves and we will be soaring again.
