Video: “How do I get Kane going” – Jamie Redknapp discusses the first challenge for Antonio Conte at Spurs
By Eddie Razo -

Former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is set to take over the reins at Tottenham Hotspur, and one of the first challenges will be getting on the same page with striker Harry Kane.

The 28-year-old has one goal in nine Premier League matches, and discussion continues to swirl on whether he wants to play for Tottenham.

Daily Mail columnist Jamie Redknapp appeared on Sky Sports, stating that the first thing Conte needs to address is the Kane saga that continued to leak into the season after a summer of rumors.

“Get Kane going; that is the big thing. If I was a manager at that club right now and I took over the job, how do I get Kane going (would be my top priority)?” Redknapp said.

“You need to have a conversation with him about do you want to be at this club. Are you part of my plans? If he says ‘no,’ I try and sell him in January. I am his biggest fan, but he is not playing to the level that he wants at the moment. He does not look like he is enjoying his football, and that would be your first objective – can I get Kane playing well alongside [Heung-Min] Son.”

“…one of the first challenges will be getting on the same page with striker Harry Kane..”

Nope.

Harry Kane needs to get on the same page as the manager and the team.

I hope we have a big clear out in January, nine players need to go, the usual suspects which all us fans can see.

Will be the first big test between Conte & Levy. If the club doesn’t back the coach, then they have no ambition or desire.

Three seasons too late in my opinion, but that’s ENIC for you!

Kane needs to not be called up for England this international window. Give him that time to get out of the media gaze and work on himself and his conditioning with what looks like Conte.

God how I have missed CL football.
If you arent winning pots it is a bloody good tonic.
Look shipmates my hatred for Levy & Enic is only bettered by my disdain (wont use hatred) for Spurs fans clapping away at Levy’s Empire building but I honestly believe this match is what is needed to either make or break our pampered pooches and yes I remember the 90s (& 80s) (&70s)

I can’t see Conte lasting the season…. once January passes with no signings & Levy goes back on his word he’ll just walk away…
