Video Evidence: The Footballing Expertise Of Eric Dier

By The Boy -

I don’t feel that its an unfair comment to suggest that in a different game, Eric Dier could have been sent off for the intellectually-challenged challenges that he made against Dinamo Zagreb.

My beef with every incident in the montage above is that not only did Spurs gain no advantage via any of his actions, but none of those challenges looked to be competently executed. Have we now hit a point whereby we’re trying to work out what Eric Dier does? He’s been on the books for 7 years.

Let me know if none of this concerns you.

And STILL this man makes hopeful long passes with less than 40 seconds on the clock before half time that AGAIN result in a counter attack

Mark my words, one day his luck will run out.

There is a lack of intelligence on the field from Dier and Lamela that I can’t tolerate, as if they are not in control of themselves, I want a few changes in the summer and those two are on the ‘must go’ list.

Southgate is a moron. He rightly drops Trent, he has had a stinker of a season, yet keeps Dier in his England squad.

I almost got in a fight at a Spurs event in Sydney in 2019 with a Pom as I was telling him just how sh*t Dier made our team

Was n’t his beef with the previous manager that he was played out of position, that he believed he was a CB?
Has anyone at Hotspur Way disavowed him of this fallacy?

I think Rodon, Tanganga and Toby should be our CBs for the rest of the season.

I had a feeling that the Eric Dier footballing expertise video might be rather short H! In fact possibly just a blank tape!

Agree and also because Jose does not think that Toby can play 3 games in a row (32 years old), which is why he has no other option (other than Rodon and currently no one seems to know what is happening with this player).

There are 10 games left and about the same number of weeks in this years premiership. Jose has the opportunity of now selecting his best starting 11 and hopefully includes some youth on the bench and these players would be playing 1 game a week only till the end of the season. No one then has any excuses for not pitching up at every game.

Teams like Leicester, Aston Villa and even West Ham seem to play the same team every week (only change when they have injuries) and are winning games consistently. Players I think Jose can trust starting every week are: Loris, Reguilon, Toby, Sanchez, Aurier, Hoghberg, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Moura, Son and Kane. Bench: Hart, Davies, Tanganga, Lamela and Bergwyn and also include 2 or 3 players from the under 23 side on the bench.

The rest of the players he can send to wherever Rose is now wasting his time. Hopefully this also sends a strong message to his boss that you can’t run a business without the correct personell. I sometimes wonder if Levy believes that you can employ a butcher as a surgeon because they know how to carve up animals. 😰 😰

People will say sanchez is worse somehow. Dier is shocking he should have just stayed a utility player, saying he is a CB and wants to fight for that place. Just proved he could never be a top 6 CB or even top 10 centre back. Catalogue of poor play in thst game on Thursday miss controls no concentration and poor tackling. We are in a sticky situation at spurs and it could end badly going into next year. Players need to pull there finger out.

He was selected to play based on the the fact there was a two goal advantage. Just my hunch. If he is selected against one of the best teams on the planet in a crucial final then you have a point. A liability now.
