Video Evidence: Did You Spot Højbjerg Giving Fleck A Little-Bit-Back For The Lo Celso Stamping?

By The Boy -

John Fleck’s stage on Giovani Lo Celso towards the end of the first half was as premeditated as it was nasty.

We covered the incident in enough detail that even the most disinterested fan would see how bad the attack was.

Our man Pierre Højbjerg waited until the 88th minute to give the Sheffield United thug a spot of revenge.

Hopefully, the authorities are able to make a post-match review and come down on Fleck like a tonne of breeze-blocks.

There needs to be a retrospective punishment. You or I did that after a Sat night on the beer you’d soon be in a cell charged with assault. Disgusting that a pro footballer would do that to another.

Fleck reminds me of Charlie Adams and the way he used to dig lumps out of Bale.

Good on Pierre – I was wondering why he would get a yellow in the 88th minute with the score at 4-0, but I hadn’t seen Fleck was the player involved.

As for the authorities and retrospective punishment, I just read another “Ref Watch”, where the sycophant Dermot Gallagher wrote this:

I cannot read Fleck’s mind. I’ve said many, many times when players do this, only he knows what is in his mind. You look at the pictures and he is tangled up, low and some of the pictures it looks like he is trying to get over him, he catches him there is no doubt about that. But one of the pictures is quite damning when you see he actually catches him twice, although only Fleck knows his intentions, whether he could have avoided him and if it was a tangle he could not have avoided. Holy cow, so he is legally blind?

Good for Højbjerg… he performs well for Spurs whatever ‘performing well’ entails in a particular match.

If our players had any balls they would have piled into that excuse for a player. One in all in.
