One of the biggest talking points from last nights dreary win over Everton was the half time bust-up between Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min.
After the referee ended the first half Lloris made his way deliberately to Son and he was not a happy man, if it was not for Giovani Lo Celso standing in the Frenchman’s way there was every chance that the confrontation would have turned from handbags to fisticuffs such was the anger on the Tottenham’s captains face.
After the game, Lloris was interviewed and initially, he was reluctant to say specifically what happened and why but after some gentle pushing he revealed what the issue was.

Lloris was angry at Son’s hand gesture and words after he had shouted at him for not tracking back. I’d like to know why Lloris didn’t have a go at Moura for losing the ball and Dier for running away from it. I have no problem with players reacting this way. It happens a lot on the training pitch and in dressing rooms. Sometimes it goes Dyer and Bowyer, but very rarely. We need to have players calling out others if a mistake is being made and it could be avoided. This is professional sport. How many of us have a go at team mates in amateur football, where nothing is at stake?
Last night was the first time I have seen emotion from our captain and we’ve played some awful games.You see lots of goalkeepers rollicking their defenders particularly when it is their fault,but Lloris always seems to stay mute.
They say the incident is forgotten,but what I saw at the end was a hug for the cameras.Son was smiling but Lloris had more of a scowl on his face as he looked away.Hopefully all is settled by Thursday evening.
