According to numerous outlets in the UK this morning, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks to be on his way to Merseyside, and Dan Sheldon for the Daily Echo reports that the Danish International was actually spotted at Everton’s training ground yesterday.
As per our report last night, Spurs were believed to have effectively matched the Everton bidding, but the structure of the offer would mean that Southampton would be waiting longer for payment plans to be completed and add-on clauses to be triggered.
Many of the media outlets covering the negotiations suggest that Everton placid in rapid succession 3 bids, from £18million, to £20million before finally offering the Saints what would look to be the ‘right number’.
IF this is a done deal for Carlo Ancelotti & Co., then it will reflect poorly on Spurs who have been supposedly stalking Hojbjerg for some time. It also doesn’t bode well for Jose Mourinho in respect of future targets in the summer window.

😂 I’m no troll man. Nor am I five years old.. You haven’t been abused or ‘called any names’.. I was joking you know, considering I was in conversation with a wooden table who was talking rubbish.. 100 years? You also know Southamptons and Pierres intentions which is more nonsense. Grow some thick skin, there has always been trolls on here and all over the internet.. In a time of pc and snowflakes I have no time for crybabies… If you want people to take you seriously then your name ‘mid table’ and your photo isn’t a very good start is it sir? . You immediately pose yourself as a troll.
How would you know? Dense as wood.
😆 To dare is to dilly dally.
Any team in europe is above mid table. You have to either fly high or win stuff to compete in europa… Mid table is for chumps.
I am not disputing any of this…All I said is the Ancelotti selling him comment, was a different situation. Hojbjerg was 20 (or 21) at Bayern when sold, he had little experience, and Bayern is not a club famous for pushing youth through. Add to that a manager under pressure rarely promotes youth. Now he is established, and proved himself. You dont know how honest Anceloti was behind closed doors. All i am saying is now, and then, its a different situation.
Everton have been splashing the cash over the last three seasons £380m and are no closer to winning anything than ourselves.
Whose in the driving seat? Southampton,Everton,Hojbjerg or Levy. Southampton can’t force him out but don’t want to lose him on a free in a years time.Everton can’t make him sign and have the manager who didn’t show trust in the player before,Hojbjerg can’t walk away for another 12mts or Levy waiting for the dust to settle and offers less than Everton over a longer period. If a player like Hojbjerg says he doesn’t want to sign a new contract, same thing we had with Eriksen the fans want him out and getting close to £20m now rather than lose him for nothing makes sense no matter how much Southampton think they are in control of the situation. I may be wrong but still believe he wants to play for Jose and Spurs.I will probably put on the tv at lunch time and see him holding up an Everton Shirt.Who Knows.
Your name suggests you’re a gooner? On the edge previously known as Mid table.
I would like to think and hope this guy isn’t our primary target… Is he really good enough? He seems to suit being a toffee. Or a saint.. He smells like he belongs at a mid table mediocre club.
This deal for me – assuming Jose actually wanted him – speaks volumes. If we cant get our first pick, a PL expereinced player, in a position we need, for less than £30m and under 25 then we may as well pack up shop for next season too.
different situation.
If you were Hojbjerg would you want to sign for Everton when their manager was the one who sold you from Bayern Munich.
😂
This is not what we want to hear. To dare is to don’t- if we really have no ambition then this is the way to go
Okay, so Everton’s owners are willing to dip into their own pockets and outbid CL finalists if Ancelotti needs a certain player… Fair enough, no argument….. But can Ancelotti boast that his chairman is by far the highest paid in the league?
