The coronavirus pandemic has forced football teams around the world to find new ways to make money.
With the fans out of the stadiums and some sponsors running out of cash, it has been a tough time to generate money.
Nevertheless, Tottenham has made making more money a priority after securing a deal with Cinch for their sleeve sponsorship.
Their top priority now is securing a £25million-a-year naming rights deal for their new Stadium despite the financial climate, according to Football Insider.
They are now on the lookout for new financial opportunities as they seek to cover for the loss of revenue they have suffered from having no fans in their newly built stadium.
The club hopes to get a naming rights sponsor that will pay that figure for the next 10 or 20 years.
Mail Sport reported last year that Amazon is one of the major contenders to earn the naming rights.
Nike is also another company that has been tipped to win the rights, but the most important thing is that Tottenham wants it to be the biggest of its kind in football.
The 62,000-capacity stadium finished in 2019 cost Spurs £1.2bn, but it is one investment that will pay off in the long run when things get back to normal and fans can watch their team play.

Just because I don’t like the game it doesn’t mean I don’t want it on my manor here in tottenham. I want all events here. My mind is made up.
ask levy to make your mind up for you.
🌚 sh!t game anyway.
As per the podcast, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI6F8hKRdNw&t=367s I challenge how exciting, how current the naming rights offer actually is in 2021?
When will it be accepted there’s no intentions of naming rights till after Levy sells the football club and retains the stadium
Tinpot.
London warriors. London Olympia. London blitz. Plus all the other outfits across the country. Nuff support. Millions
I’m sure. If you listened to the latest podcast, you’d have the numbers. People playing the sport reached a peak in 2006 of 45,000 since crashed to 24,000.
“Little interest in NFL in the UK?. You’re wrong. I thought you said you were “sure.
I have no idea what future revenues will look like once Covid is over but there are two things I am sure about. There is little interest in NFL football in the UK and if there is going to be extra revenue from our non-football activities, that they will not have a beneficial effect on the football side of the business because Levy has historically shown that he knows nothing about football and will fu** it up as it’s his way That’s what he does best.
Think we need one of our financial experts to crunch the numbers and do us a post on how much money a post Covid Tottenham would generate.
If things were close to expected pre Covid revenues, including non football stadium use, eg the concerts, American football, the big fights. Roughly how much extra would be available to spend on wages and transfers.
Hopefully this will give us a chance to see if even this increase in revenues will give us an opportunity to at least challenge the oil and gas companies on a fairer footing.
This is what a lot of us are hoping for but is it just another pipedream another mirage. I don’t have the expertise or access to the financials but it would be an interesting post.
When will it finally be accepted that Levy cannot secure a huge naming rights deal?
