Danny Rose’s transfer to Trabzonspor is still alive, but the Englishman needs to make a decision before it can happen.
The 30-year-old could finally end his association with Tottenham today, which dates back to 2007.
He is currently the longest-serving player in the squad, but he fell out of favour with Jose Mourinho a year ago.
Spurs have been looking to move him on for some time now and he wasn’t even given a shirt number this season.
Ahead of the transfer deadline day, Trabzonspor looks to be closing in on a move for him.
The Turkish side has reached an agreement with Spurs for his signature with the Lilywhites more than happy to see the back of him.
However, Caughtoffside is exclusively reporting that the move is being held up by Rose’s reluctance.
It says the former Leeds United man is reportedly taking his time to consider if it will be worth moving to Turkey.
This delay brings back the possibility of him remaining at Tottenham until the end of his contract in the summer.
If he decides that he wants to remain in the Premier League, then he would likely have to run down his deal and leave in the summer for free.
