Tottenham looking to offload defender before they land Serie A star

By Bruce Grove -

Spurs are looking to sell Juan Foyth to Fulham this summer in their bid to bankroll their move for Milan Skriniar, reports FCInterNews.

The Lilywhites have been looking to land a new defender for a long time now and as the transfer window’s closing edges closer, they know they have to get it sorted soon.

The report claims that Spurs haven’t tabled an official bid for Skriniar yet, but they had budgeted just 35m euros to sign him.

Inter wanted 60m euros for his signature, but they are more willing to accept 50m with bonuses now.

Because of this, Spurs have been advised to increase their budget and the Lilywhites are looking to offload Foyth to fund this move.

The report claims that Spurs hope to make 10m euros from the sale of the unwanted Argentinean, which will make it easy for them to table a 45m euro bid for Skriniar.

Spurs are expected to table a fresh offer within the next 48/72 hours. That offer they reckon will see Inter allow Skriniar to speak with them.

It also adds that Skriniar is ready to accept a five year deal with Spurs that will see him earn 5m euros net per season.
