Tottenham is facing an interesting summer transfer window ahead of next season.
One key player that we have already lost this summer is Jan Vertonghen. The Belgian was an important part of our recent success as a team and he will be a big miss.
Davinson Sanchez is one defender that the club has had to rely on after they spent so much money to sign him from Ajax.
The Colombian has been an important member of our first team since he joined, but he hasn’t been the most consistent.
There have been times that he has been benched for a number of games for his poor performances, and there have been times when he has played simply because there is no other defender to play.
Jose Mourinho has also used him considerably, but that doesn’t mean that Sanchez can still be relied on.
He and Serge Aurier are two members of the Tottenham defence that teams can target and they tend to.
Vertonghen provided solid cover for the Colombian, but he is gone now and Juan Foyth isn’t one that can help.
As we add new players to the team, it is imperative that at least one new top class centre back is signed or next season could easily be as frustrating as the last one.

Anyone got any views on adding a decent CB to the squad?
The German juggernaut just rolls on. They had the better players, the pace, the trickery, they had the ruthlessness of their finishing…..

C Allen towering above Trevor Peake to head home from Waddle’s cross against Coventry City after 3 mins in the 1987 FA Cup Final. Sadly for him and us fans he ended up on the losing side!
..always keep going!
Gnabri is a classic illustration of having faith in ones own ablities that it you are rejected at first never, keep going, never give up!! paying dividends for BM who clearly tapped into his latent potential!
Purely for their exciting play of breathless entertainment I hope they deservedly lift the much coveted CL trophy!
Everywhere you look there are goals in this side. Frightening really but wonderful to watch this excellent BM outfit move through the gears!!
BAYERN V PSG CL FINAL
There it is!
“For a moment there, I thought Robert Lewandowski wasn’t going to get his customary goal but he bags three minutes from time with a superb header, rising to power in his 55th of the season from a free kick.”
(BBC Sport)
-Yep his 55th goal of the season.
Our king poacher Clive Allen rattled in what was it 49 goals in 1987!!!
Agree. Bayern have shown that you don’t need to spend big money to build a good team. Their whole team cost less than Phillipe Coutinho. They can judge players and coach them. Time to get back to basics. If a player is coachable and works hard he can improve his game.
The king gonna work on him.
