Danny Rose is one player that Tottenham really wants to get off their books this summer, yet his transfer is proving too difficult to pull off.
The 30-year-old has not been in the plans of Jose Mourinho since the turn of the new year after he was shipped out on loan to Newcastle United in the last transfer window.
Newcastle didn’t make his loan deal permanent and he returned to the Tottenham Stadium where he is unwanted.
Both the player and the club want to sever ties, but a buyer isn’t forthcoming reports, Football London.
Rose, who was once considered one of the best left-backs in the country has fallen out of reckoning so much so that the only team to have considered signing him recently is Genoa from Italy.
Even that interest has cooled off and it seems like Tottenham will be stuck with a player that they don’t like and who also wants out.
AC Milan had been interested in the left-back before now, but that interest also went nowhere
Spurs have just signed Sergio Reguilon, who is expected to challenge Ben Davies this season.
Rose has been training away from the Tottenham first team and he will hope to find a new club interested in him sooner rather than later.
The fact that Rose has been out of form for a few years, coupled with his attitude, is going to mean he’ll be lucky to find a new club any time soon.
Most managers would look at him as a potentially disruptive influence on the dressing room so wouldn’t be interested.
We’d do well to just release him on a free and be done with him.
Rose is not an asset. He’s a whiny malcontent. If we must keep him- Send him to Prescott (hometown) as a free with his wages paid. Who knows , He might run for mayor.
The situation with Rose is a shame really. Over the years he had been a great whinger… I mean winger for us.
my responses to the video are pending as I swore – sorry Harry.

Ensconced in the Spurs Hall of Fame, You asked for it. Well here it is by popular demand!. In the immortal words of Barry Davies “interesting, very interesting …look at his face, just look at his face” (referring to a Francis Lee goal!)

yeah for sure.
Genoa is the team being bandied about by the ITKs. In England the top tax rate is 45% which will kick in on the THIRD week of the tax year for Rose.
In Italy, if you are a footballer and have a contract of two years or more, then you get 50% of your income tax free. Which I am sure is a factor in why Ronny went and why Suarez tried to go. Their top tax rate is 43%, so Genoa would roughly only have to pay 30kGBP to match his Spurs contract. I have no idea if that is low or high for them, hopefully it is achievable
If Rose knows he will make 7 mil this year by staying, and no one shows
an interest in buying, so Rose decides staying is much better for his
bank account than being released, surely Spurs can’t just ‘release’ him
as that would contravene their contractual obligation to Rose.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the back of Rose, so we can put it all to bed and just enjoy the hell out of his debut volley
For a long tome we have had an issue with moving players on, Levy wants too much – even for players who don’t have a squad number apparently.
If Rose is on 60k a week, release him for free to whoever and save 7m this year.
Clearly not part of Jose’s plans, simply release Rose on a “free”, best for all parties concerned me thinks!
