Tottenham Don’t Want Rose Or Walker-Peters Back | Report

By Joe Fish -

Tottenham will reportedly allow Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters to extend their loans away from the club until the completion of the season.

It was announced this week that the Premier League will return for the final nine games on June 17th, with fans set to enjoy a bumper TV schedule.

According to transfermarkt.com, Rose and Walker-Peters are contracted to Newcastle and Southampton respectively until June 30th, but The Telegraph understands that Spurs are happy for both full-backs to stay with their loan clubs beyond this date if all parties agree.

This further cements the thought that neither player has a long-term future under Jose Mourinho and that both could be sold in the summer to generate funds for the Spurs manager to make his own signings.

Neither Rose nor Walker-Peters had enough time to make a significant impression before lockdown so hopefully both can rack up some games and convince their loan clubs that they are worth having full time.

I was matching MOTD doing a rundown of best PL era goals a few days ago. They were showing Andros volley, then talking about other amazing vollyed goals. Not a single mention of Danny Rose’s debut screamer against Arsenal. My favorite Spurs goal, equal to any volley I’ve seen. I’ve always liked Danny because he’s a fighter. The only real fighters in the squad are Lamela and Rose. In Kyle Walker’s last year, the Rose/Walker pauring were the easily the best fullback in the league. As “bonzo” and brainless as Walker may be, he was smart enough to get ouf of this no-ambition club while still in his peak years. And he’s got the trophies to show for it. ENIC out.

Danny deserves to do whatever he wants to do with his final year. You know the amount of duds that have come in on more money than him? Fkin loads. Oh and the reserves need him🌚

Don’t know what’s worse to see. A long time yout not make it or a long timer leave on bad terms. I’ll always have love for danny no matter what.

Shouldn’t expect to get very much for them, it’s a buyers market, if Levy tries his usual strong arm stuff he’ll have two players back warming the bench and getting paid handsomely to do so. Rose has said he’ll have no trouble seeing out the final year of his contract in the reserves.
