Chelsea forward Willian has given an update on his expected transfer to Tottenham in the summer.
The Brazilian will be a free agent when this season finally ends, and several reports have linked him with a move to Tottenham.
The winger has admitted that he would love to remain in London because his family is already settled in the UK capital and this has led to speculation that he could join another London team.
Recent reports claim that he is set to move to Tottenham and that he is looking forward to being reunited with Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho signed him for Chelsea in the summer of 2013, and the Blues beat the Lilywhites to his signature at the time.
Some reports have also claimed that he has already held talks with Jose Mourinho and that a move to Spurs has already been agreed.
However, the winger has now claimed that it was fake news because he hasn’t been in touch with his former boss recently and that he has definitely not agreed to a move to the North London side.
“When I saw that news, I was surprised – I said ‘where did people get this from?’ Because I didn’t even talk to him on the phone, and I didn’t meet him either, because I didn’t leave the house,” he told GloboEsporte.
“So, this news is not really true. I didn’t meet him. Of course, I have a good friendship with him, sometimes we chat. But really, lately I haven’t had any contact with Mourinho.”
The bottom line is this, you either believe the player himself or the tabloids. Not sure you need a degree to work out which one is more believable.
Apart from our ‘history’ with him and he age which are defiantly moot points we have his position covered as John has mentioned. would rather a left/right back first ,but expect sod all.
He would be a strong starter or from the bench?
A choice of Lucus or Son or Willian or Bergwijn up front with Kane. Plus if Kanes out, then 3 of 4.
However, I’m feeling like we’re just reliving history here?
Believe it when they sign on the dotted line. Would he get into the City or Liverpool team? Well what do we want him for. He isn’t getting any better. Pass.
