Tottenham close to sealing a stadium naming rights deal

Tottenham is close to having a naming rights sponsor for their new stadium.

They opened the Tottenham Stadium in 2019 after spending a massive £1.2 billion on its construction.

For the past two years, they have been on the lookout for a sponsor to buy the naming rights to the Stadium, but they have been unsuccessful so far.

The Daily Mail is now claiming that an agreement is very close and they could get it sorted by the start of the new season.

The report says Daniel Levy has been in talks with a potential new sponsor and the talks have progressed very well so far.

The Lilywhites have seen their finances hit a rough patch in the last year because of the coronavirus pandemic and they also reported financial losses for the year 2020.

This would come as a major boost for them and could see them bounce back in the new campaign especially with fans also expected to come into the stadiums now.

The club needs money to spend on their transfer targets. Perhaps some of the money made from the naming rights deal could be channelled towards helping them add fresh faces to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

Levy has already pointed out that the transfers will be “unaffected” by the stadium debt. He said that shortly after the year or so in which we signed nobody at all… 🤔

Pay day loans company as far as I’m concerned, fans will call it what they want, even non fans I know still say White Hart Lane. If it helps paydown the loans and its better than the Nike deal (levy such a deal maker like f…) it can only help. But the that will only go into capital assets.

Levy might be doing something shorter term, like a three year thing just to get some cash in.

You build something like that then you’ve got to step your whole game up. Unless you ca. Do it with a plan to very quickly match expectations on the pitch, then don’t build the c*nt… 🤔

Impressive stadium for sure but part of me says I wished we’d stayed at WHL and just enlarged it a bit without getting into debt. That place was our soul. It’s like when you move from your lifetime home of many years and into a swanky new place that’s twice the size etc. but just doesn’t feel like home. Just think of the players we could have attracted to the club during the CL years without the looming debt and distraction of this stadium.

Yeah…after 5+ years of the rights being available and a shiny new American Director who’s done good things for NFL teams…we’ve heard this all before. My money is on Levy’s PR flying monkey’s putting this out to distract from long-standing Director of Communications, Simon Felstein resigning by email and being put on gardening leave. Decent people at Tottenham don’t want to be around this clown car club…I’ve no doubt the naming partner will be completely inappropriate when it happens and yet another dumpster fire for Levy and ENIC!

The Poundland Stadium has a nice ring to it. You never know, Levy might just pull a rabbit out of the hat. Ha ha, what am I talking about, drunk again.
