Harry Kane, Cast As The Father Of England As He Consoles His Players And His Family|images

By The Boy -

Harry Kane will ultimately be judged as a peripheral character from this Euros tournament, which is something that Gareth Southgate may wish to ponder at his leisure now the disappointment is complete. The bickering over tactics employed, by the England coach may well continue for a day or two, but these images provide a touching reminder of Harry’s sense of commitment.

Amongst those consoled by Harry were Jack Grealish, a player I feel was also short-changed by Southgate in terms of game-time, Saka, and of course, Mrs. Kane herself.

One thing for sure, we aren’t going to win anything with Southgate as manager. Absolutely disgraceful the way Grealish, Foden and Sancho were treated throughout. We should be building the team around these players. We’ll be going into the World Cup playing the same negative, creativeless way.

Lol. You welcome. The old player coach on me. Now we can talk about getting Sabitzer and getting rid of the deadwood.

Inevitable really once at grass roots you tell people its all about inclusion & equal opportunity…. err no at the highest level esp in team tournaments every 4 years its all about winning…, long gone are the days of admitting & acceptance you were not good enough on the day. The thing is ultimately imho England arent a top 4 European team…so to in effect finish runners up is a massive achievement.

Yip, it seems as though we set up our team to suit Raheem Sterling…as opposed to anyone else… his decision making in the final 3rd is shambolic no wonder Guardiola cant win the champions league….

Our tactics & sterling’s selfishness in effect meant we played for penalties… Southgate is generally a pragmatic, conservative coach…. so it makes this approach even more baffling

Well you aint gonna want to hear this, but there was another way… Southgate could have actually gone for it.

Make some subs, change the tactics, death or glory.

Well thank you for that. I didn’t really need to watch the game had I known you’d supply such an in depth analysis. I’d of got two hours of my life back.

Social media is a blight on humanity and decent values. I mean people say it goes ‘good’ things. Like what?

The ‘harmless’ stuff is all about trying to get others to engage with you. So it encourages narcissism, self centred thought, vanity and basically resulting in low self esteem for all involved. Not only that it creates hysteria and unfiltered ‘opinions’ by the ill informed yet righteous kn*b heads that spend most of their life on it. That’s just the bit that’s supposed to be ok!

Then on the other side it’s a hiding place for bigotry, jealousy and bullying. I fail to see any good at all, social media can f’*ck right off. The world turned before it polluted our lives ffs…

The least that should happen is for the tech companies to block the worst stuff, just as a start. Social media can f*ck right off…

It’s a tiny ignorant minority mate don’t give them a thought because they are insignificant. Do and say what you both want to do. We’re all equal.

I’m too depressed to talk about it. Fecking penalties should be banned.

i knew I could come here and find some confirmation that I’m not alone in my assessment of an opportunity, well and truly flushed down the bog. For all the good, bad, or lucky decisions that got us to the final, it is glaringly obvious that Southgate lacks the courage to send out a side intent on dismantling the opposition. It is also obvious that, not only do we have the players capable of such a strategy, but it was our best chance of bloody winning.

Any team that depends on their wingbacks as the fulcrum of their attack will always run into trouble. England void of a #8 unfortunately pays the price for lack of creativity. Since that is the formation Southgate decided on, it was Mount or Saka he was never going to Jack unfortunately, and that is fact. Once Luke Shaw gets check with Insigna coming back England was blunted, the ball went in the middle travel 20 metres forward, lots of sidewards, (Winsky style) then ended up with Harry Maguire, Stone or a deep lying Rice. Kane, not his fault, came so deep that Sterling and Mount were in one on 4 battles all game. Italy stuck to it and play straight up the middle all game because they were give so much space as the mids were wrongly type cast. Zero penetration from central mid. Maguire carries the ball more often then Philips and Rice. There were no one to receive the ball to link the front line. Sterling and Kane keep running into the 37 years old wall playing left back because Italy line was so high, and was never put under pressure through the middle or over the top which maybe because Harry was closer to the halfline than Italy box. England made it easy by continuing to play out wide through the wingbacks while Italy regroup and set the defense. Of course they had some anxious moments, but keeping the score 1-1 was all that matters.
Side note: The refereeing was in opinion too lenient on both teams with those hard fouls which I do not mind, but When players start leaving their feet, you got to flash a few yellow cards as deterrent.

Don’t let what is small minority affect how you or your grand son feel about England or GB. It’s what puts the Great in Britain. Yes, we have flaws but over ridingly we are a good respectful country.

As a footnote and in no way looking to pass the blame. They have said on the radio today that most of the abuse has emanated from accounts abroad.

You gotta protect your loved ones but it’s a sad state of affairs that those Jackoffs seem to be dictating the narrative when there are so many things that could be done to stop it if the tech companies and the government got a cohesive strategy sorted.

You’re not alone and we stand by you and your grandson as any right thinking fan would. COYS!!

I appreciate them kind words below. Like I said I know the majority of people ain’t like that (ignorant) the thing is though a lot of the young black youts don’t think like us elders and begin to hate all white people which is WRONG.

It’s disgusting and shouldn’t be tolerated. Social media isn’t my thing and this is one of many reasons. If your grandson makes it I hope he plays for England as the vast majority of us don’t behave like that. Stay strong, Tappa.

There was never a platform for these idiots before social media. A country of 66 million yet a few di*kheads now get a platform and make it look like we have this massive problem. I don’t believe we do, despite how disgusted we are by it.

Social media companies could sort this out very quickly to block all abusive language. They’ve got the tech, they’re just greedy and can’t be bothered to put the money in. Governments must start demanding they clean their act up.

Southgate got everything wrong last night and as a result, England got what they deserved.

Having HK play such a deep role was borderline criminal IMO. Also, asking two players in particular to step up and take a penalty in what was pretty much their first kick of the ball was also criminal. More so when you know he knows better than anybody the pressure of taking that kick.

Some of Southgate’s tactics reminded me very much of he’s magic you know. Subs bang on 70 mins that type of thing.

I’m going to strongly advise my grandson to play for the reggae boys. The racist stuff on line is disgusting. I know its only a minority but it still hurts.
