“Those kind of comments are just ridiculous really.” Eric Dier hits back at speculation

Tottenham have struggled for much of this season after having to sack Mauricio Pochettino and employing Jose Mourinho as their new boss.

The Lilywhites reached the Champions League final last season, but they have failed to build on that impressive campaign this time around.

Their recent loss to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane threatens to derail their dream of ending this season in a European place, and after appearing to fall out with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, there have been suggestions that Mourinho may have lost the dressing room (Mail).

The Portuguese boss is famous for falling out publicly with his players in the past, and that has been contributing factor to him getting the sack most of the time.

However, Eric Dier is alarmed that some people would think he has already lost the dressing room at Spurs just because the team is currently struggling.

The Englishman claimed that Mourinho has come at a tough time with coronavirus and a number of injuries disrupting his time at the club so far.

“That’s just the world we live in nowadays,” Dier told beIN Sports as quoted by the Mirror. “I think it’s kind of crazy. We’ve been together a very short period of time. We’ve gone through circumstances which no one could foresee.

“The change of manager half way through the season, followed by many, many injuries and then the coronavirus pandemic.

“There have been many obstacles to overcome and we hope that those things will bring us closer together.

“Those kind of comments are just ridiculous really.”

Aye Dybala admitted ‘brief’ talks with united at the time, but quickly chose to stay with Juve… He said ‘one’ english club too. As if he would leave trophies and 400k a week and ronaldo to come play for us… Less money and no trophies..

Exactly. Bruno is class. We should have signed ‘spinny mc spinners’ as H called him 😆 if you see him on youtube he does alot of spins. He doesn’t spin much for manure though. He’s changed them from ropey league to champs league standard with their results. That midfield position is so important. Bruno would have been the ideal upgrade on tintin. Goals and assists and his linking up is quality. He passes better and dribbles past people. And he gets stuck right in.

Maybe so mate.. But Emmanuel Petit agrees with me and he likes him! 😆.. I hope the lad comes good.. Only Tanguy himself can prove himself, shut all the doubters up… Getting off the bench would help… Hugo just showed us why he’s our captain.. Up the yids ❤ Hugo.

This is the bottom line, it doesn’t matter who we bring in even in a fantasy scenario like Klopp or Guardiola, Levy will smother them with his brand of tough love. No transfers or grotty cheapo ones, then sack them when they fail to get top 4. How many more years can he get away with this con?

We should have gone for Bruno Fernandez, much better than Lo Celso. But Levy of course went for the cheapie loan and helped to shoot himself in the foot financially by ensuring we missed out on top 4. As for the Dybala nonsense that was always fake news, just Levy pushing out PR pretending to be a normal chairman as opposed to the time waster he really is.

And he had an owner willing to invest in what was needed, something that has been severely lacking from our illustrious Commander in Chief.

Also Tanguy is from france! Not some far away tribe. French like weather here. French food is around… Hardly a huge culture shock..

Bruno Fernandes hasn’t taken much time to settle in, has he? Get the right players of the right quality and they will adapt just fine. As has been asked before, who was after Ndombele except us? Says it all really.

Lost the dressing room? 😆 He’s only been in there five minutes.. The players surely respect Maureen after all he’s achieved… Tanguy I’m just scratching my head, 200k a week and people are talking about his great potential. Where is the logic here? Club record signing and on kanes wage he should be one of our best players… Its Skipp who has potential.. Ndombele should be the polished product… It doesnt take a top player, young or old, time to settle in any new division or country… When Tevez and Masherano went to spam they couldnt speak the language and were used to scorching heats. They were ballers. Zola, gullit, ginola, Cristiano Ronaldo…. Jurgen Klinsman… Did these guys take ‘time to settle’?……. Ndombollocks.

Thanks Eric for that mention of the many, many injuries. Need major changes in that dept. One of the first things Klopp did at Liverpool was to make big changes because he was fed up with the players fitness and injury levels.
