“Stay home” Please listen to these Tottenham stars and your government [video]

By Ron Carne -

A number of Tottenham players have recorded important messages to fans around the world amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Football across the globe has ground to a halt in recent weeks as the outbreak continues to spread with the number of cases and deaths continuing to rise.

The Premier League is currently suspended until April 30 at the earliest, although it remains to be seen whether or not it is deemed safe for it to resume in May as much will depend on how the crisis develops in the coming weeks.

As seen in the video below though, a number of Tottenham players have delivered a vital message to fans in their native languages, urging them to listen to the advice from the respective governments and medical organisations regarding how best to avoid spreading the virus further while also trying to lift their spirits with a show of support.

From Lucas Moura to Heung Min-Son and Harry Kane, they all expressed the same sentiment to get the point across, and it’s hoped that it will have a positive impact on those watching in order for them to adhere to the guidelines moving forward.

While UEFA opted to postpone EURO 2020 until next year, it allows for some flexibility for domestic leagues to be finished this summer. It’s hoped that we will see the campaign conclude, but that may only happen if the advice below is followed.
