Football insider claims that Tottenham is preparing a £13m offer for Swansea defender, Joe Rodon.
The Lilywhites have been desperate to land a new defender all summer and they failed in their bid to land Milan Skriniar before the international transfer window closed.
They registered their interest in Rodon on the final day of the transfer window and they have until 16th of October to sign him.
They have been encouraged that a deal can be done for him and the report claims that they are keen to beat West Ham to his signing.
The 22-year-old came through the academy of the Welsh side and the report states that he is keen to make the step up to the Premier League.
Spurs have been told that he is valued at upwards of £15m, but they are looking to drive down that price.
Rodon is one player that Spurs can sign if they are serious about landing a new defender this summer, but the report also claims that they might agree to allow him to return to Swansea on-loan with the option of recalling him should they need him in January.
Spurs have had a fine transfer window and the club will hope that Jose Mourinho can end their wait for a trophy now.
You’re probably right. She narf got some followers on twitter or what ever it is. She’s got skills.
True. Might get a bit a “jingle off, so little you might as well get an undamaged one
How on earth does the transfer window work? It used to be deadline day, midnight, thats it all over.. Now clubs sign before the window opens, and after. And they are not free transfers.
You can try it on there if you spot damaged goods.
Morgan has to be the sexiest footballer of all time.
No I’m not saying that, but the level he goes in at is insulting at best usually.Yes haggle by all means but when a price is asked don’t start with 1/10th. of that. There is a price quoted not make me a silly offer.
Besides,as I understand it Jose would like him and there is not much time left.Does Levy make the manager happy or not?Would we want to be bested in this deal by West Ham,then have him face us next weekend?
If we get Rodon in it will be our best window for a very long time,I just think it’s worth the extra effort.
Are you saying that you’d rather Levy didn’t try to get the best price he could? You’d rather spend more on almost every single transfer we make? I find this surprising.
Unlucky my Tottenham ladies. Analyse then move on to the next one.
It does not help that Transfermarkt has Rodon valued at under 2M. Granted, Transfermarkt value is about as useful in the grand scheme of things as a set of FIFA gamer ratings… but unfortunately, both can still taint a perception.
Rodon could do really well for his own case to step up strongly vs Ireland tomorrow.
Who doesn’t try to drive down the asking price unless they’re in a supermarket?
It’s always the same story,Levy trying to drive down the asking price.15M is hardly a huge price for someone who is tipped to become a good CD.And he’s homegrown.
It would be embarrassing to lose out to the spammers in this deal.Just get it done with CCV going the other way.
