Spurs outcast tipped to make Premier League move next month

By Bruce Grove -

Danny Rose is a forgotten man at Tottenham, but he has been tipped to make a surprising move to a Premier League side when the transfer window reopens.

Kevin Phillips was speaking to Football Insider recently and he claimed that the Englishman might be signed by Leeds United who is looking for a specialist left-back.

Leeds returned to the Premier League this season after 16 years away, and they will want to remain in the competition by all means.

They have made a fine start to the campaign but they might need to bolster their team in the next transfer window if they want to end the campaign in a good position.

Phillips says that the Whites are lacking a natural left-back and they should look to address the problem when the transfer window reopens.

He then said that they will ideally want to sign a natural left-back with lots of experience and that makes Rose the perfect target for them.

“I think Leeds need to sign a recognised left-back in January,” Phillips told Football Insider.

“You can get away with Alioski at left-back in the Championship but when you face the likes of Chelsea it is a different ball game.

“In my opinion a natural left-back would be on the priority list for Leeds next year.

“I imagine Leeds would look at Danny Rose. It will not be about money for him at this stage.

“He will want to play football and I am sure he would love to play in a Marcelo Bielsa side.

“It is an area that I think Bielsa will be looking at and Danny Rose – to me it is a no brainer.

“A specialised, experience left-back who is good on the ball. He could slot in quite nicely.”

Bizarrely it contained some code that was hijacking links in the blog text – and turning them into betting affiliate links.

Absolute toss pots.

I hope he does well… if he goes.
Maybe being close to family will get him playing more consistently than he played for us his last few games.

…..I bet he had to Google Sergio like the rest of us, but he knows who is now.

He’ll understand Bielsa’s methods as Poch learned much from him.

Good luck Danny. Best debut goal ever, best LB in the country at his peak, started a Champions League final. I hope he gets a move that works out for him.
