Spurs frustrated as they might be stuck with unwanted player

By Bruce Grove -

Football London claims that Tottenham is frustrated by their inability to sell Danny Rose in this transfer window.

The Englishman has around 8 months left on his current deal at Tottenham and he has been told to find a new team.

Since he fell out with Jose Mourinho earlier in the year, he has been out of the first-team picture.

He is currently training away from the senior team and the club and player want to desperately sever ties.

He was a subject of interest from FC Porto before the transfer window closed, but the Portuguese side didn’t follow up their interest.

The report is claiming that Spurs are frustrated that they were unable to sell him before the major European transfer window closed.

It claims that he will likely see out his contract at the club unless he lowers his ambition and agrees to join a team in England’s lower division or opts to join a team in a country like the Netherlands where the transfer window is still open.

Rose has done more talking than playing football recently and teams will be running away from a player like him that simply cannot keep his mouth shut.

So there will be no send-off for the clubs longest tenured player. I’m guessing there won’t be a testimonial, either, which is sad. very Dawson like😢

Rose did say he would run down his contract. At least he is true to his word. He is a poor man’s Ozil, just a shame no one wanted to give him £70k a week. A sad end to an under appreciated footballer, who was very good for a fair few years. I just hope he doesn’t end up walking on a dual carriage way without shoes like Aaron Lennon! He has a shock headline vibe about him.

Not good for any party – maybe Levy could do a deal with him to just buy him out for say £1m

I was being facetious, the lad has wanted out for ages, but hasn’t helped his cause with his overactive mouth and attitude, it’s not a good situation for him or the club.

The club is willing…but is the flesh willing?

Danny will still see himself as a Premier League player and an England possibility.

It’s delusion. Also, going to a lower league who’s going to pay wages to tempt him to give up the Spurs contract?

Perhaps Danny could take up golf? It’s a shame really because back in the day he was one of the best LB’s in the Prem. He should have gone down a league and helped get a club promoted, would have boosted his confidence and self esteem no end.

Who’s going to pay an injury prone player who has played very little first team football £60,000 a week in these financial circumstances?

Apparently he and one other surplus player made it known they would not move to a Championship club.

Who knows perhaps plenty of clubs did come in for Danny but he turned his nose up because he thinks he should be playing for Barcelona. I would have thought a Fulham or a West Brom could have done with somebody of his experience but maybe his name is mud among managers now.

The club should have got him out by now, maybe a Division 1 or 2 side will come in for him.
